Complete mindless disregard of REASON and soul.

I am an imp by nature....

And the fact that so many 'relatively' intelligent souls ponder the ebb and flow of the Universe itself amuses me personally.

I'm not pagan by any means, but I do see their ingrained nature as such.

Divide and Conquer the mind for the greater good?

  I type-Nonesense.

  Burn in Hell Healthcare.

Dan Is Correct.

The orchestrator of this bill is pronounced 'REEED' In Deutschlander jargon, the second vowel is pronounced versus the first. Take your time.

Please be carefule, Alles.

Either work harder to get the job done on the hill, or stop blowing sunshine up our democrats-I apologize for the language RedState.

Personally, I look forward to your reads. The bigger picture DOES need to be summarized, but I'm not one for margins anymore.

My opinion, is that the Dems, despite their falling on their sword and despite their dumbass collective thinking combined, have enough sense to vote 'no' here.

My suggestion is this: Once this house of cards fails, let's prepare to push them into oblivion-Hookes Law.

Those who know his career, know him. He's a power hungry racist. That's it. What's dangerous about him is that he has a senate seat. It's analogous to the guy who steals a bubble gum off the grocery rack, goes to jail for 6 months and learns from the real criminals.

I take some comfort in knowing he isn't bright enough to navigate those waters, yet I take great fear in the reality that he's there at all.

Assuming Lieberman and the ladies from Maine will not get suckered into supporting whatever new name Reid comes up with for the public option in order to trick them into believing that the bill does not contain a public option.

That is a major assumption, and may end doing what assumptions often do, but if it holds, then we can stick a fork in Obamacare because it is done.

They would probably still pass something just to give the media an excuse to say that it is a victory for Obama, but it would really just be symbolic because it would have to be gutted so much to make it through.

He's finally acting the way I expect a politician to behave: protecting his own best real interest and the interests of his state. While that doesn't necessarily yield the results I want, it is at least a behavior with which I can sympathize and one that is predictable.

I'm worried about Snowe, Collins, et al. Burris is a bald faced liar who is beating the drums of public support while the fight occurs. His job is to keep the nutroots from blowing this thing up while they do the sausage making. Once the sausage is made, he'll fall into line for the same reason all the other twits claiming they won't support the bill if it doesn't have a public option will: they all know it is the closest they will come to implementing their socialist health care system for 50 years on either side of this debate. If they pass it, they may only be 75% of the way there today, but the rest will follow within 20 and possibly before The Big 0 is out of office. If they don't pass it, the threat goes away forever. They did get one thing right about the current situation: there are critical elements of the health care delivery system that are broken and the current system can't continue. So changes will be made to fix those breakages. They just decided that instead of giving the patient two aspirin for his headache, the best solution was to shoot him where the pain was.

But Snowe, Collins, et al are just such roulette wheels. Some days they vote their real self-interest and those of their constituents, other days they vote for some perceived historical self-interest that has no basis in reality. The only thing they are mostly consistent about is loving the art of the deal; being the savior of bipartisanship who ride in at the last moment to save the day for legislative progress toward a new tomorrow.

I am very pessamistic. I think this is all bluster by the liberals . . . I am not even sure they will need Lieberman. There is a very good chance they may be able to get Collins or Snowe on board. If they come up with something that one or both of the of the Maine sisters will sign on to, then they will get Burris and Sanders. They will show Burris and Sanders the gazillion new government bureaucracies that will be created, all of the new taxes, and they will tell them that this puts the framework in place for a PO (or even full single payer)--that it is only a babystep away, Burris and Sanders will fold like a house of cards if they are the only 2 votes needed to get this monstrosity passed.

Oh, Dan, how I pray that the scenario you have described will come to pass and the Senate will reach a stalemate and the D's proposed HC Reform will never see the light of day.
