The 9/11 attack was the first major assault on U.S. soil since the war of 1812. More civilians were killed than soldiers and sailors at Pearl Harbor.

It’s easy to sit back now, at the far remove of time, and pontificate oh-so-even-handedly about spending and condescendingly try to equivocate about spending on war vs dubious “reform” of healthcare which no one asked for.

It’s just cheap moral preening. I bet you wouldn’t have voiced any of that cock and bull in public on 9/12.

This pitiful attempt at equivalence is the product of the brainless adulation of Dear Leader that will destroy our nation. Transparency in federal budget matters, particularly when expensive pet projects are involved, is a pipe dream. Obama might still be funding the war(s) through “emergency” supplemental spending bills as his predecessor did before him. Then they talk of balancing the budget and reducing the deficit when all they did was decide they wouldn’t count several truckloads of beans. It’s a joke.

The CBO estimate of the Bachus Bill cost includes ten years of revenue but only seven years of cost. Projecting out another ten years there will be 42% higher cost than revenue. This is raw deceit that is evident to anyone with an eighth grade education willing to spend a few minutes to do the math.
