Darling and Perrin Outed on “Vapor Bill”

A Google search of the term “vapor bill” (in quotes to eliminate any other search results) finds nearly 6,800 mentions of “Vapor Bill” on the internet, first published Wednesday, September 23rd at 1:17AM EDT in a blog post by yours truly, and The Washington Times has seen fit to document this:

“The term was originated by Brian Darling, director of Senate relations at the Heritage Foundation, and Dan Perrin of Redstate.com, and is a play on “vaporware,” a disparaging name for heavily promoted software products that are never brought to market.”

Chalk this up to fun with words and the internet.

It is a clever meme, just too bad there is good reason for it.
