Too often the politicians sell us a bill of goods that isn’t anything like what they promised. To do it, they throw the Constitution aside (or in the trash) and then try to pull it back out when it’s convenient.

I’ve commented on this before and will again. After getting to know the veterans from Vietnam I discovered they were the core group that started the Reagan revolution. As the WWII veterans were the source for boom of the late forties, fifties and sixties.

Every generation that sees war comes back with a greater understanding of what it takes to be a good citizen, and how lucky they are to live here.

My father in law and his friends, all veterans, would get together and talk politics on occasion. Back in 2004 he and his friends were openly mocking the likes of Kerry and his ilk. Their vision of right and wrong, good and bad, justice and injustice was not clouded by politics or propaganda. After dodging mortars and bullets, they just weren’t impressed at all with all the gyrations involved with today’s politics.

From their actions I surmised the real reason for the Reagan revolution was less politics and more a core group of men and women who had served and understood their role in keeping a nation healthy and safe.

Today, you are seeing signs of the next surge; young men and women who have seen the hell of dictatorships and tyrannies, and refuse to allow it here.

This is also another reason why the left hates war, it tends to make patriots.

Mark Levin asked Marine David Hedrick if he was planning on running for office (due to his conservatism, outstanding verbal skills and grasp of the Constitution demonstrated at Brian Baird’s Town Hall). Hedrick says he’s thinking about and discussing it with many folks.

This is what we need!

If we tie up all their silly notions in court then nothing will get done. Oh, BTW, that is a good thing.

Hedrick has my vote.

This is another reason that the Lib Lefties hate the Military. An unexpected consequence of the WoT, particularly 8 years of the left spitting on the effort and the troops(whichever they can get away with at any time), is that many, many more like him are coming home and becoming active in their communities which often means actively opposing those trying to destroy America from within.

I’m getting really tired of people who claim there’s a right to health care. It happened again on Hannity last night. Health care is no right. It’s a service, provided by people who are paid to provide it.

he’d better watch his back and hope he isn’t ID’d by the DOD. I heard a caller on Glenn Beck this morning who said that her husband has been officially warned that it is against regulations to protest the President’s actions, and that he was specifically warned that protest out of uniform was forbidden, too.

Glenn asked for hard copy, which she said her husband was trying to get, so this could just be a misinterpretation of orders(on-duty versus off-duty or something like that). We’ll see.
