It would be very easy for any Prez or COS to off somebody and this particular administration has no real opposition. There isn't the conscientious guy in the DOJ or whatever who as a matter of conscience would out the Administration. Below the appointee level, the federal government is Bill Clinton's government, so anything a Democrat does will be OK. Or perhaps, Fitz has reached an accomodation with them; he did after all perform a great service for them and if they're assured of his loyalty they can now be allies. I suspect some part of that accomodation would be his understanding that Democrats are off limits to his investigations. Wouldn’t surprise me. There is no doubt that Rahmbo and BHO were just doing business in The Chicago Way and making the deal with SEIU or whomever on who Blago was going to appoint. Fitz saw a way to both keep his job and be a very powerful man in this administration. No doubt in my mind that he has a very useful tape stashed somewhere. He may need it to save his life!
