Yes, I do learn things from hearing opposing viewpoints, so thanks for the welcome. But I’m a little confused — why would my comment be a “troll” or a “pot shot” and other comments such as “OOOOOOOOHHHH. Scaaaary.JOOOOOOOOOOS. Democrats are bigots” would be considered fair discourse. My comment was slanted, but factual and polite. Just askin’

Note the context and the even the quote marks. *Hence a request by Cantor “…to switch his eponymous sandwich (etc.)”
Speaking as a Jew, Cantor’s right — it’s a great power Jew sandwich. It’s a point of cultural pride, guys. — like being better educated, more faithful in marriage, better readers (obviously), and overwhelmingly Democratic. And the fact that Abramoff and Cantor are Jewish *needs *to be emphasized, it enflames the Jewish community that these gonifs were working for the Republican corruption machine and reminds us to vote for Obama and stand up for true Jewish values, honesty, and true patriotism.

Well, it is a “Have you stopped beating your wife” type question…either I am right or wrong, if I am right then I am not lying, if I am wrong then I am misinformed or something, and lying is knowingly saying something untrue…I understand the general concept of lying being bad it is just something I am not doing here…

But anyway, considering the circumstances I will say see you all later, I had fun posting here and good luck with everything. I wish you all the best, at least with everything other than getting McCain elected Also, wish me luck in getting into grad school (I’ll say is that it is not in any field that is remotely political).

First, of all, these people are hardly the backbone of any movement, some dude with no clothes and some nonsensical sign makes the rest of us cringe more than anything. I have been to one rally before, my friends and I were walking through the mall and came upon one, we stayed out of curiosity, there was one guy with some Bush = Hitler type sign who kept interrupting the speakers, everyone treated him like some crazy dude who should just shut up. I was not at the above rallies, so I don't know but I suspect that at any sizeable one they're treated similarly...like the "don't taze me bro" kid or something.

I feel like I shouldn't have to say that the vast majority of anti-war people have probably never been to any rally, or had a similar experience to mine.

I'm sure I could find some pictures somewhere of some crazy people on y'all's side, or descriptions of the thoughts of some people on y'all's side or something (all I have to do is find an ad for Sen. McCain! Zing!)

Should I take this to mean that you don't really want me here? Because I have no primal urge to post here, if you don't want Dems like me around just say so...

I reject your premise, any anti-war anti-Semites are immediately ridiculed and yelled at if they out themselves as such (at least among people who have any ability to communicate to a large group). But even if that were not the case, it would still be a messed up thing to say.

Let me get this straight... any criticism of the Obamamessiah would be called racist by the Obama campaign and their shills in the MoveOnMedia.

Yet the DNC gets a free pass from the MoveOnMedia about this sort of stuff.

Why hasn't a movie been made about Judah Banjamin? This guy's amazing. From what I've read, he may well have been the only competent member of the Confederate cabinet. How about this for a resume:

An imigrant Jew selected by the state legislature of (get this!) Louisianna to be a US Senator. Twice (once as a Whig, once as a Democrat).
Twice offered a seat on the SCOTUS with a guaranteed confirmation,
First Attorney General of the confederacy.
Secretary of War of the CSA until he voluntarily threw himself on his sword (politically speaking) rather than publicly reveal the confederacy's critical lack of manpower
Secretary of State for the CSA, and champion of a plan to free any slave willing to take up arms as a Confederate soldier (a plan that might have changed the outcome of the Civil War).
First Jewish cabinet member of any new world government.

Yes, he was a slaveholder for 17 years, but he sold his plantation and it's slaves more than a decade before secession, and it really looks like he was more concerned about states rights than in maintaining the institution of slavery. It really is a shame that he was on the "wrong" side, he might have been able to shorten the war by years.
