Repeal DADT on ONE condition…..

I say fine go ahead with your DADT repeal, with one provision added to the law repealing it, the language should read as follows: “Any current member of the United States Armed Forces who feels that the inclusions of homosexuals in the military goes against their religious and moral beliefs can ask for and be granted immediate honorable discharge”.

I also think they should add the same provision that “No openly gay member shall serve in forward combat operation units” they believe they were born the wrong sex then let them follow the same rules as the female members of our military have about combat operations.

If we can “discriminate” against female military personnel by restricting which MOS they can work in, then that same should apply to openly gay members of the armed forces.

When I served there were individuals that we suspected of being homosexual, no actions were taken because they lived their life and I lived mine and as long as it stays that way there will be no problems, but what do you think happens the first time a homosexual soldiers approaches a straight soldier mistakenly assuming their sexual status? Can you say a beat down outside an E-Club? Can you say court martial? How many unstable PFC Manning’s would the military have to deal with? Sailors on subs? Sailors on carriers? It is an ambulance chasing lawyer hell hole just asking to be gone down.

The military should not be used as a social experiment, their job is to close with and destroy the enemies of the United States.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke

I read Mr. Bernanke’s op-ed this morning, and I have come to the conclusion that though I am no Ron Paul supporter, when he assumes the chairmanship of the Monetary Policy Sub-Committee that his first job should either be to fire/arrest Mr. Bernanke or arrest/fire Mr. Bernanke. This man is going to destroy our country and he isn’t even elected. I now agree with Mr. Paul, the FED must be dismantled.

I’m not perfect……

Maybe we should be more suspicious of individuals who can run for office and apparently have no "blemishes" on their life record. To me that says they have never lived and they have always laid out their life in a manner that puts them in a position to hold power over the common folk. If we looked at an individual on the basis of will they make decisions that are right, even if unpopular, maybe today we wouldn’t be worried that this government has become so intrusive that there is nothing left in your life that they do not either directly or indirectly control. The government is involved in what comes into your house as far as food, medicine and access to information, and it continues to get more and more intrusive everyday, sadly we continue to allow it. I’m not saying that the government doesn’t have some jobs, but those jobs should be severely limited. It is a sad day when an American can no longer trust his/her government to do the basic job that it was given in the Constitution, but the scary part is the government doesn’t do what it is suppose to do, but now has power over things that it was never intended to do. Time to trim the fat and that should start with every politician who does not support a smaller less intrusive government.

What if she wins?

It’s a simple question, but what happens if Ms. O’Donnell wins in November?

I’m actually curious to have a discussion on what it says if a very red candidate wins in a very blue state? Thoughts? This is a discussion we’ve had around the office and I’m curious what the RedState Community has to say……..

“My Friend” “Respect for” “Honorable”

None of these words describe democrats and republicans should quit using them in congress period. These people are the opposition and they are destroying this country one congressional vote at a time and they must be stopped. Time to put away the nice words and take action, or the republicans will be replaced.

Leave Us Alone Act of 2010

I am proposing a 99% income tax on all liberals (progressives what ever they are calling themselves this week), with no write offs. $0.99 of every dollar you “earn” for your trashy movies, books, fake news, bad political tv shows and just bad tv shows will be taken and given to the poor you always whine about taking care of. Let’s start with your money getting re-distributed and see how that works before they start in on mine. Oh and before you say that it’s unconstitutional, isn’t that what Obamacare does to Doctors???

10% flat tax NOW, it’s good enough for God, it’s good enough for the U.S. Government.

Pass the amendment to cap spending!

I think the first few on the list for the income distribution they so crave should be George Clooney, Matt Damon, Oprah and George Soros.

I wish we had a congressman with the you know whats to drop this bombshell bill on them, just for the hypocrisy show it would bring!!!

And we are told he is “super intelligent”…. yeah right…

*If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he ison his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

*If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

*If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

*If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again,
would you have winced in embarrassment?

*If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?

*If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?

*If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they
actually get what happened on 9-11?

*If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing
political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

*If George W. Bush had created the position 32 or more Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America , would you have approved.

*If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

*If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

*If George W. Bush had spent more than all the Presidents combined since George Washington, would you have approved?

*So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything?

Don’t worry.

He’s done all this in 10 months: you still have 3 years and 2 months to come up with an answer.

Is a successful terrorist attack grounds for….

Since 9/11 it would seem to most logical people that the primary job of the government of the United States and the Commander and Chief of the United States (that’s you Barack), would be the protection of the people of this country from another attack. So my question to the members of RedState is this, would a successful terrorist attack rise to the level of "high crimes and misdemeanors"? In other words if a President from any party allows an attack on this country after 9/11does it rise to the level of an impeachable offense?

Just a thought provoking exercise that I’m sure there would be a lot of opinion on.

Thank you RedState and RedState Members

I am a fairly new member here but a long time reader of other peoples posts. At this time of the year, I would like to take just a moment and thank everyone here for giving me a place to express my thoughts, fears and yes even at times rage. I am glad that there is a place where I can enjoy the company of like minded (or semi-like minded *laugh*) individuals.

As a former Marine, I would like to remind everyone to keep those members (and their families) of our armed services in your hearts and prayers at this time of the year, it’s the hardest time to be away from family.

Merry Christmas everyone, Happy New Year and let’s put a stake through the heart of this socialist agenda and if that means throwing out Repub’s to do it then I am with you. This must be stopped now.
