Treason

Treason: Violation of allegiance toward one’s country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one’s country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.

I believe that Maj. Hasan should be tried and executed for Acts of Treason against the United States of America. If he is not tried in such a manner it will once again prove that we are unable to call evil and evil acts by their name.

Absolutely!

While he can be tried and executed for murder, the first charge read should be Treason.

THEN, charge him with murder.

And then hand him over to Texas to try on the murder charges so that he can be executed by electric chair instead of lethal injection.

Actually, there's a legal definition of Treason.

And it’s pretty easy to understand, and I think applies directly in this case:
18 USC § 2381:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Seems simple enough!

If this guy doesn’t bite it, then we should just give them the country now

He will walk

If I lived in Reidland I’d be placing bets on this guy walking, DOJ is incompetent and the military courts will not process for the death penalty (plus Obama wouldn’t sign the order anyway, as CnC he would have to sign off on it)….. he pleads insanity/brainwashing and gets a slap on the wrist.
