This just came across the business news on Bloomberg. That earned them an invite by Henry “the rat” Waxman.
AT&T already announced a $1Billion charge for rising health care costs due to ObamaCare, as well as similar charges announced by several other companies.
Obamacare, can you hear us now?

And...
Steph C (Diary) Thursday, April 1st at 5:35PM EST (link)they’ll pass some of that onto the customers.
Maybe the greenies have the right idea… let’s go back to the stoneage where health care reform, cap and trade, etc. won’t matter.
I’ll live very well that way. Don’t know about all them city folks who are used to just holding out their hands for what they government will give them.

What will the government have left to give?
izoneguy (Diary) Thursday, April 1st at 6:02PM EST (link)After they take everything from the haves – they will give it 20 years and then they will have to take the stuff they gave to the have-nots
and give it back to the have have-nots…and then in another 20 years
the government will say sorry – nothing left to give….
The rest of the world should become very nervous at that point.
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

That doesn't matter AT ALL ... *NONE*
spim Friday, April 2nd at 2:41PM EST (link)This is not actually about “redistributing wealth” or “social justice”.
The actual numbers matter none whatsoever.
All that matters is falling down the slope to ABSOLUTE POWER.
“But that will never happen *here*!!”
right …. just like it never happened in Cuba, Venezuela, China, etc.
dont feel sorry
ktsub (Diary) Thursday, April 1st at 7:59PM EST (link)These companies co-opted with Democrats the past few election cycles, this what they get.
I feel sorry for the American public.

Secretary of Commerce said these companies are being "disingneuous"
jazzycmk (Diary) Friday, April 2nd at 2:09PM EST (link)But what motivation do they have for posting these charges? Companies don’t want to take these hits to the bottom line.
I’m sure Dems will say this is Corp America in bed with the Republicans to try and influence the November elections, but that’s a pretty big leap.
And having Waxman and other Dems question these guys’ estimates is pretty rich considering all the number-crunching shenenigans they pulled with their health care estimates.
If their third-party auditors had a problem with their numbers, they would have said something. They don’t want egg on their collective faces. Not after Arthur Andersen and Enron.
