A while back, I posed several quite alarming scenarios that seemed to be of the tin foil hat-wearing variety. Most people thought I was completely insane. A few of you did not offer that opinion.

For those who don’t remember, this may jog your memory……. I posed several “what if” scenarios at your local level, including some things similar to ‘Red Dawn’.

Think back to the questions I asked that went along with the scenarios I brought out.

Now, please allow me to pose it all again, but this time in a much more simple manner in two very short parts:

Do you actually understand what has happened ?

Are you truly prepared for what is on the horizon ?

The games are over.

The talking is just about done.

This is the original Executive Order issued by President Reagan:

Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983
International Criminal Police Organizations

By virtue of the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and statutes of the United States, including Section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (59 Stat. 669, 22 U.S.C. 288), it is hereby ordered that the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), in which the United States participates pursuant to 22 U.S.C. 263a, is hereby designated as a public international organization entitled to enjoy the privileges, exemptions and immunities conferred by the International Organizations Immunities Act; except those provided by Section 2(c), the portions of Section 2(d) and Section 3 relating to customs duties and federal internal-revenue importation taxes, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act. This designation is not intended to abridge in any respect the privileges, exemptions or immunities which such organization may have acquired or may acquire by international agreement or by Congressional action.

Preident Clinton amended EO 12425 in September 1995.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities upon the International Criminal Police Organization (‘‘INTERPOL’’) it is hereby ordered that Executive Order No. 12425 be amended by deleting, in the first sentence, the words ‘‘the portions of Section 2(d) and’’ and the words ‘‘relating to customs duties and federal internal-revenue importation taxes’’.

President Obama further amended EO 12425 in December 2009.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (22 U.S.C. 288), and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words ‘‘except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act’’ and the semicolon that immediately precedes them.

“The pre-requisite conditions regarding the Iraq withdrawal and the Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention facility closure will continue their course. meanwhile, the next move from President Obama is likely an attempt to dissolve the agreements made between President Bush and other states preventing them from turning over American military forces to the ICC (via INTERPOL) for war crimes or any other prosecutions.”

Couldn’t you just see Obama say, “Well, the prosecution of Cheney and Bush is out of my hands, talk to INTERPOL and the ICC about that.”

when you do a news search and not one of Obama’s mouth pieces in the lame stream media has mentioned it. Not a peep, not a question, not a blog, not a headline, nothing.

Obama vows to reverse executive orders that ‘trample on liberty’

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama told House Democrats on Tuesday that as president he would order his attorney general to scour White House executive orders and expunge any that “trample on liberty,” several lawmakers said.

Presidents, as head of the executive branch of government, issue such orders to direct operations of executive branch agencies, like the Justice Department and the CIA. For example, President Bush used an executive order last year to breathe new life into the CIA’s controversial terror interrogation program that allowed harsh questioning of suspects.

Obama “talked about how his attorney general is to review every executive order and immediately eliminate those that trample on liberty,” said Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y.

“He indicated there would be a review in his administration,” said Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., the House majority whip.”

as the best guest-host in the business. If Rush had talked about it, it would be on the MSM radar. Obama signs these things at certain times because the radar is low (weekend news cycles, Rush-and-Glenn-on-vacation periods, etc.).

When Steyn reported it, I listened. And then saw Erick’s diary and found this one from that one. My wife and I are appalled. This is treason: not protecting the US Constitution.

Gee, how convenient.

And do a news search on Obama’s newest EO on National Declassification Center and undoing BUSH’s security veto. You’ll get news hits from many lame stream media outlets.

Do a news search on the INTERPOL EO. You get ZERO, NONE, NIL, NADA from lame stream media outlets, only us tinfoil wearing bloggers.

So what makes one EO newsworthy and another not so much?

In September 1995, President Clinton updated Reagan’s executive order with Executive Order No. 12971, giving INTERPOL officials exemption from some of the customs duties and federal internal-revenue importation taxes’.

Then in his December 17, 2009, executive order President Obama exempted INTERPOL from the rest of the exceptions Reagan listed — Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6.

So what does the counterterrorism official from the Bush years think of this?

He can’t believe it’s taken this long.

“To the extent that granting these immunities to INTERPOL furthers the efficacy or ease of information-sharing or joint action on an expedited basis to act on warrants
seems like a no brainer to me,” the official says.

“Conservatives can’t have it both ways,” the official says. “You can’t be complaining about the hypothetical abdication of US jurisdiction at the same time you’re complaining the Obama administration is not being tough enough on national security.”

Obama administration officials say this new executive order doesn’t allow INTERPOL to do any more than they were allowed to do once Reagan recognized them as a public international organization. Though clearly the Executive Order does prohibit US law enforcement from searching and seizing INTERPOL records, officials say, those provisions can be waived by the president if need be.
