This morning at the Costco store in Tempe, Arizona, Sarah Palin signed copies of her book that had been sold by Costco. Here are two videos that will give you an idea of the size of the crowd. I took the opportunity to attempt to recruit some of the conservative folks in line to become Republican Party precinct committeemen.

You asked if I managed to recruit anyone. A woman from Mesa who lives in Legislative District 19 called me yesterday and she told me both her and her husband would sign up to be appointed as precinct committeemen now and then next year during the primary season get the necessary signatures to get on the ballot to become elected precinct committeemen.
The flyer I use lays everything out and tells the reader how to get in touch with either the Maricopa County GOP or the AZ GOP. For some people, that’s enough information and they take the initiative and become PCs without any further help. Some folks need additional help and, for them, I include on the flyer my phone number. So, it’s possible I may have been able to recruit a few others. One PC who’s a Redstater was in the line and he helped me pass out some of flyers.
After I had some success at the first Tea Parties back in March and April and on July 4th, the Maricopa County GOP itself decided that maybe recruiting where conservatives tend to gather might not be such a bad idea after all. Now, several of the officers are doing the same as I have been doing. I guess the most fun I’ve had so far was actually handing out flyers to those protesting the Obamacare Bill inside Harry Mitchell’s (Debtocrat, CD-5) Scottsdale office and in the hallway outside his door.

ColdWarrior (Diary) Tuesday, December 1st at 5:26PM EST (link)In the first video clip, the lady to whom I say “I know you” is a brand new PC I recruited a few weeks back when I spoke at a Tea Party Patriots group over in Mesa. Now there she was, taking time away from her real estate business, doing the same thing I was doing. We plan, perhaps this Saturday, with a few other PCs in our legislative district, to go door-to-door in a couple of precincts in our district in that have zero precinct committeemen (that happens to be the case in, unfortunately, about one-third of our precincts).
I try to go to wherever conservatives gather, physically and virtually, and recruit.
