When was the last time you voted at your county GOP meeting? I did last Tuesday. I have an official voice in what my local party does. I think that goes a lot further than whining about things on a blog. You might think that sounds stupid, but that says a lot more about you than it does me. If more conservatives joined the ranks in their local party, we could make more of a difference than your incessant idiotic belly-aching. If you can’t see that… well, I guess I wouldn’t want you to become a precinct committeeman. I would prefer to fill those vacant spots with persons of a higher mental capacity.

Anyone who thinks that criticizing is hard work is a self-described idiot. Criticizing is the easiest thing in the world because it requires no effort except to bitch and then feel sanctimonious about it.

Yeah, that’s what I always tell my staff – please feel free to criticize without restraint. No need to come up with solutions; no need to work on solutions; no need to become part of the solution rather than part of the problem because bitching about something is *always* the way to move an organization forward.

I feel sorry for whoever employs you because no matter how much you think, in your deluded mind, that you are a ‘valuable’ cog in the process, I can assure you that *anyone* who thinks that criticizing is hard work and thus feels sanctimonious about engaging in it is a clueless, self-deluded buffoon who *always*, sooner or later, *becomes* the problem.

Criticize Dems in public and GOP on ideas. You are doing the Dems business for them. All this Rhino and 3rd party crap will reelect Dems and we cannot survive it. Primary GOPs, fight out ideas and defeat Dems. Just my 2 cents if that is OK.

As liberty loving Americans all we can do is take our Party back from the establishment that has forgotten who put them in power to begin with. Conservatives have always been the force behind the Republican Party, now we need to take control of the Republican Party and bend it to our will. I am a Precinct Committeeman, with any luck I will soon be the Treasurer of our County GOP. That means I will be on the inside of each and every decision made there. I’m here talking to you at 3:30 in the morning, do you think they will be slipping things past me at the GOP meetings? I doubt that. I’ve been bringing in fellow conservatives since I got involved, and the conservatives have been bringing in more and we are a full year behind Cold Warrior in Arizona.

Stand with us, take back a name brand rather than make a totally new brand no one can trust, make the Republican Party be OUR Party and then we’ll finish our mission. Destroy the progressives, hunt them down and drive a stake through the chest of their perverted ideas. Carthago delenda est…

This was the first Kirtley post I came across. I have read and agreed with many of your posts, as you know.

I guess one of the things I differ with most people on is that arguments, whether political, scientific, or otherwise, should be taken and responded to on their own merits. Maybe Charles ia a moby. But the arguments we have here over who is a true republican or conservative remind me all too much of the insufferable discussions I had to put up with in graduate school from my class mates arguing for one strain of Trotsykism versus another. Bizarrely, when I spoke out for liberty, they simply dismissed me as hopelessly naive. But there were times when small doctrinal disputes drove them close to violence.

Mr. Kirtly is not entitled to repeated debates on the same topic. My only point is that the message needs to be defeated on its merits.

Just to be clear, I was as far from defending the Chi-comms as I could be. But my understanding of the role of the under 30 Chinese is next to nothing. I only said it would be interesting to understand it.better.

Anyway, I took note yesterday when he said RedStaters were “pitiful” I get feisty when people insult RS. Now, I can go back to sleep and come back coherently later.

Maybe I should copy and save this piece for the next time I want to rescue a newbie from a self-destructive path.
