Democrats Didn’t Listen to Massachusetts. Let’s Send Them Another Message.

All eyes are on the House this week as Washington Democratic leadership tries to use obscure and questionable procedures to pass — by hook or by crook — an extremely unpopular health care bill that will become a fiscal disaster for generations to come.  I’m not a naive person by any means, but I’m just astonished at their relentless pursuit of folly.

Like the majority of Americans, I thought Senator Scott Brown’s election in Massachusetts sent a message.  The message we were sending couldn’t have been clearer: Stop. Somehow, the Democrats in Washington, D.C. still aren’t listening, doubling down on passing a takeover of one-sixth of our nation’s economy without even so much as a formal vote.

While Nancy Pelosi continues to twist arms, I’m working hard on behalf of the people of Hawaii to send another message.

If electing a Republican to the Senate and Massachusetts wasn’t enough of a message, maybe sending a Republican from Barack Obama’s hometown will be.  On April 30th, ballots will arrive for an all mail-in special election for Hawaii’s First Congressional District.  I’m the Republican candidate in the race and there’s a strong possibility that I will win.  I’m running against a divided Democrat field in a winner-take-all special election to fill the seat vacated by Congressman Neil Abercrombie.

Our new TV ad will tell you a little bit about myself and my record of service, both in the Army Reserve and in Honolulu, where I stood up to reckless spending:

If you want to send another message, I hope you’ll visit us at Djou.com. Contribute. Join us. It’s time to send a message to Washington, and it’s time for a Congress that listens.

I hope you do win.

That said, these democrats are too dense to get any message.

Djou is a LIBERAL Republican. Pro choice. Pro gay rights. Heck, he will probably be just another Brown if he wins.

Also, my website:

Yeah, I’m a fake.

How much do you get per comment, alohaboy?

Either that, or apparently Charles ran over your dog. Either way, behave.

PS: Kid, I have learned to accept that good conservatives might disagree with me on, say, same-sex marriage. But you’re perilously close to spambotting; and nobody here cares what I do to spambots.

Take the hint, Sparky.

To pile on, I just read your old website from Iraq.

Is there any reason you link to so many leftys?

Time to round up these tyrants and put them on the very unemployment lines which they perpetuate.

I’m a banned Democrat who came here to promote the idea that Republicans are racists for disliking Barack Obama.

I plan to check my checking account to see if I can squeeze out another small donation.

I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. I also know that even small amounts — $10, $15, $20 — add up when enough people send them. Plus, be it ever so small, the donations offer ENCOURAGEMENT.

Thank you for running.

but I’m not sure Scott Brown understood it. I’m still not convinced by that guy yet.

He never promised to be a perfect conservative. His only promise was to vote against ObamaCare. Its not like were not getting what we expected. Come on, in MA, did you expect him to be a Jim DeMint?
BTW, Good luck Charles!

Also, I noticed

jsanzone (Diary) Friday, March 19th at 9:33PM EST (link)

that this race was changed by Cook to “toss up” status.

This is a real pick-up opportunity, to add to the growing list of pre-midterm special election victories for the GOP.

Djou is a reasonable, balanced guy with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Remember the election is APRIL 30TH–not in November. This is a ‘right now’ campaign.

Darn it, we’re supposed to be opposed to diversity, now we’ve got all kinds of minorities joining up with us? WTH is up with that?

Saw you with your campaign group holding signs on Kalanianiole Hwy the other day. While I can’t vote for you (Utah Res.) I can and will send some cash. Keep working hard and I think you can win this. Case and Hanabusa are both more of the same.

Good Luck Charles

Good luck to this guy and all, but c’mon… comparing his race to the one in MA? No way. Let’s not compare a House seat in a Hawaii to a Senate Seat in MA going to a Republican for the first time in 40+ years. Him winning might be a “message” but it ain’t the same message.

How’s Brown doing, by the way?

I am repeating unsubstantiated allegations contradicted by video evidence because I am afraid of you.

Cook PVI puts HI-01 at D+11 and Massachusetts as a whole as D+12. That’s pretty close by my count.

Sooner or later, civil disobedience will be something we see every day. I cannot understand how the left can expect this to end up any other way.

Only fools and zealots like Pelosi can think they can do this and not have some kind of extreme blow back.

To me, this whole time period is a nightmarish sense of deja vu.

I'm astonished more non-whites aren't GOP

ssohara (Diary) Saturday, March 20th at 2:56AM EST (link)

From a rational, logical POV – many immigrants who come here are very entreprenurial. they start up small businesses at a higher rate than native born Americans. Asians have strong family values (very low divorce rates, for example), are very conservative fiscally and many come from countries that were messed up by socialism or communism. Hispanics are often Catholic (so, pro-life), have a tradition of military service and are very hard-working and family oriented.

Re. blacks – anyone who looks at the destruction of the black family under the “Great Society” or how blacks get screwed by public education (no vouchers!) or by Social Security (black men are less likely to collect than any other group)… again, it is odd to me that blacks vote so Democratic.

I think the GOP is horrible at getting out the message. I know that for years, my Mom (an Asian) thought of the GOP as “the party of the rich” and the Dems as the ones who cared about helping the average person. It took the nomination of Barack Obama to shake her up. All of a sudden, she’s voting Republican…

At any rate, I think Djou seems like an AWESOME candidate, and while a House seat doesn’t have the impact of a Senate seat, at the same time, for Barack Obama’s hometown to vote in a Republican.. that would be pretty sweet! It could be a harbinger of things to come in November…

Blacks were Reps. until FDR

renny (Diary) Saturday, March 20th at 8:53AM EST (link)

Martin Luther King, Jr., was a Rep. It was Lincoln and the Reps. that freed the slaves and defeated the South. But FDR and later Johnson bought off the entire minority with welfare.

When I remind my students that Lincoln was a Rep. and it was the South that was Democrat, they are amazed, partly because what goes for the teaching of history in the last decades is appalling.

So, I also tell them that Wilson entered WW I, FDR led us in WW II, Truman entered us into Korea in 1952, and JFK and Johnson sent us to Vietnam. All they know is cons. are warmongers and Vietnam was “Nixon’s war.”

They are also surprised to hear that the KKK, segregation, and Jim Crowe were Dem. creations, that Dems. filibustered the 1964 Voting and Civil Rights Acts, and that Dems. stood in the school house doors. All kids know is cons. are mean, bigoted racists.

If the Texas change in school books does nothing else, I hope it balances the dreadful history educations typical high school students are captive audiences for.

Never give up: 202-224/225-3121.

Good luck, Charles!

We regret to inform you...

Dear US Congress,
We regret to inform you that your request to serve as Chief Operating Officer – Healthcare Administration & Wealth Redistribution has been denied. The shareholders appreciate your interest and will keep you in mind for future opportunities that may arise.
After lengthy attempts to fully understand what your vision was for the role, it has become clear that your evasiveness and misdirection with regard to our inquiries indicate an underlying lack of character or, at the very least, indecisiveness and lack of self-awareness. For this role, we need an individual of utmost character, willing to listen carefully, accurately interpret the shareholders’ desires and execute effectively and in good faith on those desires. We need an individual willing and able to recognize an insolvent program, take responsibility and make it solvent or shut it down.
Upon reviewing your references, we have discovered a track record of aggressively pursuing programs that at their face can never be solvent and ultimately do not serve the shareholders to whom the programs where originally sold. You have misappropriated funds raised for Social Security and exhausted those funds on “pet projects” that do not contribute to the intent of the Social Security program. Your Medicare program denies more health care claims than any other similar insurance program in the market and is poorly managed. These two programs alone have a reported unfunded liability of $107 TRILLION dollars (source: NCPA) and yet there is no indication that you have a plan to address this huge debt that you have created for the shareholders. In fact, it has become clear that you have been integral to the current worldwide failures in the economy due to your reckless support for allocation of funds to insolvent home mortgage borrowers caused by the Community Reinvestment Act, deceptive bundling of bad loans with good loans by your Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac joint ventures and weak enforcement that you supported.
Your proposals that you present for this new role have been constantly changing, mostly incomprehensible, verbose and fact sparse and now it appears as though you have been bribing some of the management team to gain their support. This is utterly unacceptable and will result in termination of employment for many of those managers.
Initially, we were attracted by your expressed intentions, however your track record of immense failures creating and hiding insolvent programs, shifting blame, failure to address deficits promptly and to change course when desired by the shareholders, compounded by attempts to coerce support from other management force us to reject your application.
Sincerely,

United States of America Shareholders

GO FOR IT CHARLES!
