Popularity fades, especially when the economy stinks and his “stimulus” made unemployment worse according to his own predictions.

…It’s not that Slobama’s Strongly Approve numbers have fallen – apparently, Obama-lovers will go down with the ship with him.

Rather, it’s that the Strongly Disapprove numbers have slowly creeped up since May.

As a result of the former factor, I doubt the Approval Index will ever go all that negative with Obama in charge. I could conceive of Strongly Disapprove getting up into the low 40s, which would put the Approval Index at roughly -10.

But it would hard for the Index to go higher negative than that, unless the Strongly Approve numbers go down, and I doubt they’ll ever go below 30% – the far Left will never abandon this guy…

I know we can’t rely on them to be honest and I hate to sound like a broken record but, if the MSM would do their job then Obama would be deeply negative.

If people were honestly presented the facts regarding much of the Liberal agenda I believe they would reject it outright. National health care sounds good but when the facts are laid out for analysis people say ‘no’.

This is an opportunity for the GOP. Where are they? Why are they not speaking up? I call Mitch McConnell’s office every week to ask where the GOP leadership is in opposing the socialist agenda and the response from his aides is weak and in the vein of “he’s doing all he can, blah, blah, blah”.

We need to step up the pressure on the GOP leadership.

How this warms the cockles of my heart, as I too, like Rush Limbaugh hope (and pray) his agenda fails, and fails miserably.

I also pray that perhaps more Americans are waking up to the fact that *Hope* with this guy in charge is on some very distant and mythical horizon. And, I believe the current sentiment towards Obama will deteriorate further if we are all forced into his health care plan.

As more of his policies really impact the very people in who have supported Obama and this entire agenda, I believe the Left may begin to turn on him, even the mainstream media, which has been fawning all over him for all this time, but they are more adept at attacking, and I believe they will once again have the opportunity to do so at some point during this administration.

We have seen the Left to be such loyal followers deluding themselves into believing that they, too, lead; I just don’t believe their loyalty runs too deep in reality, and we already know how comfortably natural it is for the Left to behave as hypocrites.

It would not surprise me in the least that they will still blame Bush for Obama’s failure.

Let’s see, we have trillion dollars deficits as far as the eye can see, bank nationalization, automobile company nationalization, union handouts of our tax money, ACORN handout of our tax money, earmarks for everybody that supported his campaign, $250k “dates on our dime, North Korea ready to launch a missile at Hawaii, Iran on the cusp of having a nuclear bomb, abandonment of Israel, abandonment of the democratic movement in Georgia, abandonment of the democratic movement in Iran (until the polls told him to “change” that, socialization of our healthcare system, bringing terrorists from GITMO to Des Moines, legislation that basically will allow a Marxist takeover of virtually any US company by the government, “truth commissions”, a cabinet full of tax cheats/liars/kooks, global warming legislation that will destroy our economy, gas prices headed to the ceiling again due to his inability to “drill everywhere-now, taxes headed up, companies moving overseas to escape his nonsense and God only knows what else.

I can’t imagine why his approval rating is dropping?

the smell is permeating to the 20% of the voters who A. Don’t know straight up and, B. Decide presidential elections.

If the Republican Party can’t take back the House next year, those in charge should be shot.

I’m hoping that each drop of reality will wear away the stone of support for this administration’s policies.

I’m not holding my breath though. If George H.W. Bush could be so high in approval ratings and then lose to Clinton, the pendulum will continue to swing for this president.

I truly believe this president has the potential to dupe the public into ranking him higher than ever before — if he stumbles into being in the right place at the right time to take credit for something positive that he did not do.

It may be a photo op during a national tragedy — although so far he has not shown up to even offer lip service for Americans in trouble this year, including those hurt by Kentucky’s devastating ice storms.

It may be taking credit for some economic bright spot that he did everything he could do to keep from happening.

It may be something personal with his own family — something cooked up by Rahm Emanuel or James Carville, like a new band playing on the deck of the ship while the hull takes on water.

I’m not sure his political instincts are as good as everyone once thought they were (he’s made many blunders), but as long as his advisers continue to find way to fool the public, his numbers will keep bouncing back.

I don’t necessarily think it will have to in order for things to get difficult for him politically. But I don’t suspect he’ll ever get too far below 50% approval rating.

There are a whole bunch of people out there who are so enamored of him personally that he could flog dogs and old ladies without losing their approval.

Obama may well have expected that he would have only one term and hence a shorter time to wreak his destructive marxist defeatist agenda with speed. The latest on the healthcare reform is that it will be another multi-page document without scrutinization forced through the Congress. Just as the stimulus bill and Gitmo, there is no transparency and Americans will not feel the impact till later. Obama may go down like Carter, but the damage will come later. This is the real tragedy of our system because it does not deal with consequences right away allowing radicals to get away with no accountibility. While a future president is sabotaged by set agendas in response to destruction left behind (i.e. 911 post Clinton). The GOP needs to be out in front bringing attention to BHO and what he is trying to do. They have to force the connection between BHO and deficit, dangers of his foreign policy now.

Perhaps the Z∅ro faithful are starting to notice a more pronounced loss of support for Z∅ro, and so their more frequent appearances here is just one part of their desperate attempt to stop the ongoing slippage.

It could also be that they’re embarrassed by the president’s lack of conviction for freedom in Iran.

The paucity of GOP co-conspirators for the Porkulus and other reckless spending exposed Obama politically… and now looks to be a huge gamble. When all this pork and welfare fails to generate any real economic gains, the Democrats will face a bloodbath in 2010.

And it’s quickly becoming obvious to all that this guy has no business as Commander-in-Chief, either- he’s not only a coward, but comprehensively unqualified and too narcissistic to focus on anything but his own political security.

By the time 2012 rolls-around, people will cringe at the mere mention of his name- and the GOP could take 40 states running Gilbert Gottfried.

in 1980 Jimmy Carter was personally liked by the electorate. However, the electorate decided he wasn’t up to the job. Nothing personal mind you.

Right now BO has a cohort that privately suspects they’ve elected a lemon. They are only loath to publicly admit it now. Then there are those who will be with him to the end; even if their personal situation worsens as a direct result of his policies. The Bread and Circus cohort may likely sit 2010 and 2012 out simply because BO will no longer be the cool thing of the month.

Now that everyone sees the man behind the curtain, they are not sure they like what they see. Unless he wants to have an approval rating of 32%(about the percentage of America haters in our own electorate), he will be forced to the muddled center by his own advisers. Otherwise, he will be a one termer with a minority in Congress.
