This past year we had garbage to choose from with the exception of Fred who never seriously tried. Just looking at some of the top names being mentioned has to get conservatives excited, even though it is still WWWAAAYYYY to far away. I don't know how to pick from Sara, Bobby Jindal, Mark Sanford, or possibly Jeb.

name recognition is a wonderful thing. And it looks like it's caught up with Mike Huckabee.

Sarah Palin - 24.4%
Mitt Romney - 18.1%
Undecided/Not Sure - 16.2%
Bobby Jindal - 15.6%
Mike Huckabee - 9.7%

Looks like Republican voters figured out who Mike is. I would note that I don't put much stock in polls about 2012 at this juncture - heck I won't put much stock in them in 2011 - and Zogby is, well, Zogby, but I have to admit I'm surprised at the result. Huckabee runs a high profile primary campaign fueled by supposedly fervent evangelical and fervent FairTax supporters and polls less than 10%.

Hopefully Social Populism is dead.
