but you are right; this only increases Rush’s capital. He seriously IS the Leader of the Conservative Movement. Everyone else on our side in a position to lead us is a rat and a traitor. This is why Obama is aiming at Rush. For quite a while I wondered why Obama, Wright, Schumer, etc. were aiming at Hannity. Hannity is great but way too nice. He does not have the bunker busters in his arsenal that Rush does. Oh, I suspect Rush has an ace in the hole for fighting the Fairness Doctrine – he intimated as much a few years ago on the air. And yes, this was a slam against all us Rush listeners and supporters more than against Rush himself. I say to Obama: keep it up, you arrogant know-nothing.

The Reps had a bipartisan candidate in McCain. Since bipartisan really means “donkey in all but name,” what we got was a donkey president. We would have gotten one no matter who won, but this one is officially in the donkey party. And that’s the real lesson, when both candidates are donkeys, a donkey will win. When the Reps give in to what the donkeys want, then we have a government of donkeys. When the Reps oppose the donkey plan, then when the donkey plan fails (as it is guaranteed to do because it’s based on false premises) then the fault can be laid at the donkeys’ feet. This is not possible if the Reps join in. If the Reps agree with bad policy and help pass it, then they own the bad results and get no benefit from good results.

There is no upside to Reps playing “bipartisan” surrender games with Dems. There is only a downside.

Likewise, there is no downside to Reps opposing Dems at every step, every word, everywhere, for all time. This goes for the media too, as the media is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dems.
