Newsweek’s cover story says it all. We are no longer a free country. We have been usurped by the socialists.

Maybe NOW people will believe me when I say Obama’s a socialist. Maybe NOW I can start to get some people to understand that the policies of the Democrats are the same Marxist crap that’s been tried and failed over and over again. At least now I’ve got a mainstream rag that acknowledges that we are moving at a rapid pace to becoming a socialist “paradise”. God help us all.

The worst part is this guy actually seems to relish the idea of becoming just like France! Hello 10%+ unemployment rates. Hello 50%+ tax rates. Good times are coming for all!

prior to the election, the election results may have been different. Had Obama actually told the American public everything he and his friends wanted to ” change ” I don’t believe we’d be having these thoughts today.

Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh… Unfortunately, the people who NEEDED to get the message get all their news from MSNBC. Those of us who listened to these guys knew… we were well aware of what we were in for. I prayed that it wouldn’t happen – or at least wouldn’t happen so fast. And if this pork bill passes… We are no longer a free country. We are a socialist nation. My 16 year old has been complaining about it becoming the USSA (United Socialist States of America) for months now. He even designed a new flag. Not that he supports the idea. This kid is all American -wants to attend (and swim for) the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is only 16, but because he went to a private Christian school (and not some government-run public school) he has an in-depth understanding of history and consequences. I feel for him – we have sold out the future of our children and grandchildren to this CRAP!!!!!! I am so angry right now I don’t know if I want to yell or cry. It just sickens me. Stupid stupid stupid people. You have to have a license to drive a car but not to have a child or vote. And boy did some people in this country make STUPID decisions at the ballot box. Remember those “man on the street” interviews? About how the Republican’s controlled both houses of congress in 2008? And about how this was George Bush’s war (no, congress, not the president, declares war…). Stupid. And you, and me, and our kids, and grandkids, are going to pay the price. Just makes me want to scream.

I was reading something the other day that did bring a smile to my face. -
A business owner after the election realized that his sales were going to drop because of Obama’s economic theories. So the owner went out into his parking lot and did a survey. Anyone that had a vote for Obama sticker or vote democratic sticker was fired. He told them that since Obama won they could probably live on hope & change and wished them the best of luck.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

I had at one time 12 employees – the lowest paid one made about $36,000 a year and the highest paid one made about $56,000 per year. Payroll was about $500,000 per year give or take. So these folks were paying taxes, they had health insurance and a decent job. But when many of them would come in with lib attitudes and Bush was a horrible president, yada, yada, yada. Most of these people were young and for many it was a first real job out of college. It just got to be too much. I was chasing my tail – one day I announced that I was closing shop and they all had two weeks. Some of them moved to California and some stayed in Texas and I do here from some of them from time to time. This was before the Obama days. I can just imagine what a conservative business owner must be feeling at this time.
