that JD was gerrymanded in that election into the Tempe University of Arizona district and all those kids went all out for Harry Mitchell. People in the district JD used to have before this were happy with their congressman and he likely would have been re-elected handily.

so while JD is not perfect, I'll take him any day over Mc"CANE" who kills the "Able" [sic, but one should get the reference] CONSERVATIVE agenda with his all too quick and easy Sell-outs.

Hopefully the corrected tiny link is working

I'm not disputing anything mbecker says here...I could give a tinker's damn about JD Hayworth...I doubt I'd vote for him in all honesty...yet you want to accuse me of heading an inquisition because the idea is repugnant to me....of someone like McCain...or one of his staffers dishing dirt and piling on to a fellow Republican!

What really frosts my britches about you Steve...is that you constantly accuse me and other conservatives of engaging in this kind of activity when we've never done anything of the kind...yet when the possibility arrises that one of your precious moderates in the Senate may have done so...you find occasion to attack us for daring to show the same outrage that you have become so masterful at displaying...

HYPOCRITE!!!

and by the way...if you'll read what I've written in this thread...I've expressed my suspicions that JD is playing lose with the facts here and am giving McCain the benefit of the doubt for the most part..

as much as I am Dealing with our Frustration with the Politically Brain-dead in general that pull that JackAss lever blindly....

I wish I could relocate to AZ for this Election and work for any/all of his Primary Candidates.... Really.... I am way beyond disgusted and grow more angry with every opening of his SELL-OUT mouth!!!

And someone tell Bob Dole to keep his trap shut also.... These, "Get A Bill, Any Bill" types are as responsible for this SOCIALIST Nation as the JackAsses are.

I'll even give them money, but I live here. I'll knock on doors too.

As far as McCain thinking he speaks for the base, he thinks he speaks for God. He and Obama just haven't worked out all the details of that one yet. There is NOTHING you or I can do to have one iota of impact on John McCain unless and until we come up with an alternative candidate in AZ. I doubt that will be happening any time soon and certainly not soon enough to impact '10.

I think our best shot is to look at a replacement in '16 when, hopefully, he retires and his brain dead female progeny runs to replace him. Her we can bury.

Granted, JD is a loud-mouth jerk, but is better on the Issues.... I'll support him over McCain

Simcox, easily attacked and McCain will be happy to have surrogates go at him with RACE-BAITING on the Border issues -- another reason why McLame must be removed! and I am willing therefore to support any Primary Campaign with what little resources I have.

It is a shame we cannot garner a better Primary Candidate... We all agree that McCain is STILL harming the Party -- maybe even more-so now that he still thinks he is the defacto Republican Leader just because we SETTLED and MADE-DO with him as the Presidential Candidate last time out.

additionally ======================

I've sent to Toomey and Rubio already as well as Simcox, still waiting for the attacks on Wilsons' site to cease so I can give there, and will certainly be looking at the other 2 Erick has mentioned here as well as others as we discuss them all the way up to the Primary and then on to helping more for the General Election.

We have to help fund whomever is the opponent of Prince Harry in NV.... Some House races (Joe Wilson for one) that need some National Conservatives helps.... Some Governor races (Kasich, in OH, for one IMO).... and again Conservative PACs....

the "Republican Revolution" of the 90's was mis-labeled, it was really the "CONSERVATIVE Revolution" and it brought Republicans to power; likewise, it was the "Reagan Conservative" Revolution, not a Republican Revolution. Many Republicans forgot that along the way. That led the way for CINO Democrats to lie their way back into power, but it was a "Conservative" co-opted (read: they lied about their intent) that voters allowed themselves to be duped into. Republicans need to REMEMBER that! Conservatism did NOT lose Elections, bad Politicians (with R's beside their name) did!

IMO, we cannot continue to allow McCain to think he can/does speak for the Republican base

not sure what happened

AZ section.... we'll see if tiny.cc/ConRepNom link sticks... just started trying to use tiny.cc, not sure if they are reliable or not yet - that one could have been my error/mistake. tiny.cc/rsjld working okay thus far.

Frankly, what little I have I am sharing with several and what little they may be able to do with/against McLame I am willing to support... Nothing happens if we do NOT try to help out and McLame (and all the others) need a message sent -- IMO, going at McLame helps send that message.

Further, funding Conservative PACs helps more than any one particular Candidate and were the only outlets willing to run the ads/campaigns worthy of supporting based on the last go 'round.

First, your tiny link just goes to an ad for tiny urls. If it's supposed to be to a story you should repost it.

Second, out of state money should NOT be sent to McCain's primary opponents. Send it to Rubio or Toomey or to any of probably 30 or 40 contested House races. Cash will be scarce, we need to use it wisely.

You can find some comment here.

Bottom line, none of his challengers have money or have the ability to raise money in the quantities required for anything but lunch at Jack-in-the-Box. Of the three, one has no name rec, Simcox has no "good" name rec and JD is a well known jerk. Assuming Janet stays in DC, the Dems will be running Fred Gxyflznes again. Fred won't have any money for the general, won't be able to raise any and still won't be known outside his immediate family. McCain can, and will, raise unlimited amounts of money outside of Arizona (which he will probably bequeath to his ignorant, ditsy daughter in '16) and since he'll have to spend upwards of $50 to win the general, can spend $10MM on the primary.

Fred won’t have any money for the general, won’t be able to raise any and still won’t be known outside his immediate family. McCain can, and will, raise unlimited amounts of money outside of Arizona (which he will probably bequeath to his ignorant, ditsy daughter in ’16) and since he’ll have to spend upwards of $50 to win the general, can spend $10MM on the primary.

and I don't know if McCain did this...and I think fire should be held untill we know for sure McCain did it...I.m suspicious as I've stated earlier because I don't see a McCain staffer using the term "Amnesty" which is in the email Brian Posted...

What I am saying is...both could be true...JD could and likely did lose because he is a blow hard and a bully...but McCain may well have dished dirt on him and piled on...in which case McCain should pay whether any of what he did dented JD or not...McCain is famous for this kind of crap and it's high time he pay for his cattish behavior...we have no fundamental disagreement beyond the idea that we should turn a blind eye to McCain's alleged treachery because JD is an AXXhole...

I try to listen to JD as often as I can (which isn't very often sorry to say) but this story is not at all what it is cracked up to be.. This is nothing but typical political threats. It happens all the time. If this gets your hair up, you should hear what they tell each other when they are not in writing. This was not blackmail. It is a threat to create extortion. Extortion is how politics works. JD knows that. He is a basic one serious topic person, and often gets some of that wrong, but this is not all what you think it is.
