Esp. after his faux outrage at Republicans for blaming the crisis on Carter (which is a misinterpretation of what their argument is).

The sad thing is, he should know better. None of the economists that I know, and few that I have read, agree with any of the distinctive features of Krugman's brand of Keynesianism. Even under the strictures of Keynesianism, his points make little sense.

from the Q and O site.

nom de guerre says:
June 28, 2009 at 22:54

krugman, despite his ‘credentials’ as an academic and nobel prize winner (LOL), may be the single most intellectually dishonest writer-”thinker” on the planet. he’ll say whatever it takes to make his case that day – black is white; up is down; war is peace – at the top of his lungs and with a straight face, and then loudly deny ever having said such things in the next day’s column, should changing events necessitate a change of narrative. the guy makes michael moore and janene garofolo look thoughtful and logical. he’s just a silly, mendacious little man doing his best to act grown-up, and the only method he seems to know is to parrot what all the fashionable tall people on the upper west side are currently saying. mix that in with a little econ BS, and you’ve got every krugman column ever written.

Most of his work is highly disingenuous in the way that it plays with statistics, and many of his statements are subjective, at best. I remember reading an article where he attempted to argue that continental Europeans are happier than others because of welfare, but he didn't put in any sources for any of statistics that he was citing, and didn't even bother to use a statistic or fact to try and verify his claim that continental Europeans are "happier" than those of other developed countries.

Just not for Americans living in the United States. A whole new category of jobs will be created. In addition to "Jobs Americans won't do" we will now have "Jobs Americans won't be allowed to do" like mining, drilling, refining, manufacturing, etc. These will now have to be done by someone else in some other country. That's what raises the treachery of the Cap & Trade 8 to the level of treason, if you ask me.
