I can’t really fault him for this. I mean I for one am glad to hear that he is checking into the actual effects rather than just pushing forward (Guantanamo).

I don’t think we should be piling on him too much about breaking campaign promises, lest he may actually try to keep all of them.

Top notch administrator and team player. He’s been in DC too long to be a leader though (after a few years most get ‘spine removal surgery’) and just build resumes for follow-on employment.

Most of the warfighters avoid DC as much as possible and are cranky around politicians. You get that way after seeing the mess (and horror) that politicians make around the world.

This is another argument that supports the conservative belief that what our party needs now are principles and bold colors instead of pastels. The notion that we can be for clear principles at all becomes, in and of itself, a differentiator.

People will join us in 2012 not necessarily for our positions, but for the fact that we have positions and principles. Let’s differentiate ourselves from this Clintonian triangulation. Let’s keep it up!
