And look how well that turned out!!

The problem here is that it seems to be turning out that Obama, just like Clinton, doesn’t have a set of core principles or a governing philosophy.

That’s an easy recipe for getting rolled by the ‘true believers’ in Congress.

Can’t wait to see this guy’s approval ratings come Summer and Fall…

1. Barack Obama will provide a tax cut for working families:
   Obama and Biden will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 95 percent of working Americans the tax relief they need. They will create a new “Making Work Pay” tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family.
2. Provide tax relief for small businesses and startups:
   Obama and Biden will eliminate all capital gains taxes on startup and small businesses to encourage innovation and job creation.
3. Fight for fair trade:
   Obama and Biden will fight for a trade policy that opens up foreign markets to support good American jobs. They will use trade agreements to spread good labor and environmental standards around the world.

I don’t have a link, but last night I heard Harry Reid say that he “didn’t know of one Senator” who approved of the $3K tax credit for businesses hiring new workers, so they just tossed one of the main subpieces of the Obama plan out of hand. Now they’re moving on to other parts. By the time they’re done with it, the tax cut for “working Americans” is going to become nothing more than a tax refund (i.e a welfare check, since they didn’t pay any taxes to refund) for non-working Americans, paid for by working Americans.
