As things stand, those who live in actual polics states won’t be watching that video, because their governments will block such impressive examples of police operating as civilized individuals protecting everyone’s rights.

Ooooohhhh to be in the mind of that nearest police officer as he knew they were sorely disappointed by the lack of actual police brutality.

I don’t think a secret service protective detail driver is stopping for some guys with bandannas over their faces. In fact, I’m pretty sure he isn’t slowing down even.

In a real police state, that video would have never been distributed. These professional protesters would be missing eyes, fingers, limbs, and a few would have already paid Charon‘s toll.

I thank the Fates that I live in this sort of police state if I have to live in a police state at all. Oh and by the way, I did live the first ten years of my life in a real police state where my parents had to be extremely circumspect about their political views lest they attract the attention of the (not so) Secret Police. These fools have no idea what they are talking about and make the plight of those who suffer under tyrannical regimes that much more tragic and poignant.

How’s this for a possible “game changer.”

We all know that there exists a fringe left that is grossly intolerant. Many of us have experienced this intolerance first hand, but many Americans appear blissfully unaware that this fringe left has significant influence in various centers of power, especially the universities.

How ’bout showing this in a way that even the media can’t ignore?

Here’s the plan.

1. Organize a small pro-McCain rally in Hyde Park–Mr. Obama’s neighborhood.

2. Do NOT give advance notice that Sarah Palin might show up. Only have a few unsophisticated-looking cameras. And a detail of Secret Service agents.

3. While the small rally is attracting a large number of “tolerant” protestors, glorying in all their tolerance, have Sarah Palin show up as a surprise.

4. Without the advance notice, the leftist agitators will not have been given advance notice to conceal their “tolerance,” and the absence of cameras might mislead them into thinking they can act with their usual impunity.

5. Let the cameras roll.

ONE caveat: I would not propose this to Sarah Palin–unchivalrous to propose a woman expose herself to insult–but if I were Sarah Palin, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

As far as protests go, that was one of the most pathetic attempts I have ever seen. Are you sure the protesters took that video and not some pro-McCain bystander who wanted to embarrass them? A dozen grungy semi-homeless people run into the street to hold up a burlap sac with a peace sign on it? LOSERS. The whole world is watching? Yes and they are laughing at you.

These poor kids are just the product of “community orginization” projects. Or maybe they sit in classrooms across America under ex “community organizers” who fill there swampy sculls with anti American garbage. Another comment on the free speech thing. I just watched Ben Stein’s “Expelled”, and that movie deals with the liberal professors and college board members actually firing and smearing other college professors in the realm of science for even MENTIONING intelligent design. They don’t even have to mention God, just ID, and they are attacked like shark bait ! How in the world did a nation that was built on a belief in moral laws derived from the word of God and the ten commandments ever get to a place where the very thing that guarantees your freedom here has been totally eraticated from our halls of learning ???
Not one of these professors can tell you how life began, but you better not mention God ! Free speech has been under attack for a while now. I think we should fire these Godless Socialists who foment anti American views in our college youth while lying to them about who our founders were.
