As if anyone needed any more proof that Governors Perry (R-TX) and Sanford (R-SC) are anything less than awesome, they go on WSJ and condemn the state bailouts…awesome!
In a blog post today, ATR says
In today’s WSJ, Perry and Sanford express their opposition to state bailouts saying:
“Our Founding Fathers were clear and deliberate in setting up a system whereby the federal government would only step in for that which states cannot do themselves. An expansionist federal government of the last century has moved us light-years away from that model, but it doesn’t mean that Congress can’t learn from states that are coming up with solutions that work.”
We couldn’t agree more.
You stay classy Perry and Sanford, because I don’t think you can get anymore awesome!
Awesome!

TC Robinson (Diary) Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:52AM EST (link)that you think that means they will never take federal money. They’ll take it if they need it, just as the quote says.
It’s just like the Republicans who opposed the Obama tax plan. Just how many of us will actually send that money back?

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
So now Perry is awesome...

But he's such a

Perry- You are uninformed!
Scope (Diary) Tuesday, December 2nd at 6:59PM EST (link)In addition to Perry’s obnoxious behavior at the Republican Governors Meeting where he tried to control the obvious popularity of Palin, he was the one who tried to get the NAFTA superhighway in Texas. Really, what a great guy. And then he blocked the information from the public about his sweet deal that he made with the Mexicanistas to construct and maintain the superhighway through texas. BTW, I understand that Guliani was a part of the firm that was making the deal with Mexico that was withheld from the Texas population. Perry is not a great guy, he is apart of the problem, although he thinks Palin is a part of the problem to his more lofty goals. Talking to CNN after the Gov’s meeting against Palin has not been tied to anyone as far as I know, but, you have to know Perry was one of them.
Governer Perry TRIED to FORCE parents to have...
JadedByPolitics (Diary) Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:13PM EST (link)their daughters to have a vaccine by an executive order requiring that all girls entering the sixth grade receive a human papillomavirus vaccine….that is CONSERVATIVE….overruling the right of parents for an DRUG that had only been out a few years with no understanding of the long term effects to these young girls. OBTW he took campaign donations from MERCK but that wouldn’t have anything to do with it NOW would it!
I am SHOCKED that he would even throw his name in the mix……parents had to literally SUE him in court to over his executive order…..SHAMEFUL!
