And he was sounding good. The Senator wouldn't go so far as to call her an unwise Latina bigot, but he did say he has profound misgivings over her numerous comments on judicial activism, as well as her unconstitutional stances on the 2nd Amendment, private property, Mirandizing terrorists, etc.

I think he'll stick to his guns, and that many others will join him in voting NO.

We all know that these "confirmation" hearings are BS. The Senate is a Kangaroo Court that is fully committed to doing His wishes. She's gonna be confirmed probably 90-10. Doesn't really matter though, she's the new Thurgood Marshall for the minorities and will rule as such.

I don't expect any fairness or impartiality once she gets on. She'll rule for her people and against gringos who "had their chance". That's the way Dumbocrats are and this Admin is so corrupt that they'd made sure they found themselves a suitor for Souter. First control the guberment, then the Courts and finally the Hearts and Minds, right?

Republicans, outside of Sessions and a few throwbacks, have no backbone. These would be pansy Graham, McConnell, and Cornyn among many others. They'll let her sail through the confirmation process.

Why not just skip the time, effort and money this costs, put her on the declining bench that is the S.C. and wait for the next minority to be nominated by The One?

My guess is a black Muslim convert i.e. Muhammed Abu-something that will sail through the same way since Republicans can't use racial terms or risk coming off as old Republican white men that "just don't get it" in a changing world......

Justice Muhammend Abu something wouldn't that just make Jon Jay, James Madison, and George Washington proud? Only in Amerika.......

The One's got them over a rock and hard place and he knows it.

Carry on the PC mandate! That's the agenda!

It seems to me that in Ricci, Judge Sotomayor's empathy for one group of firefighters turned out to be prejudice against the others.

That is, of course, the logical flaw in the "empathy standard." Empathy for one party is always prejudice against another.
