Maxine Waters Embraces Rabid Anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, and Surely Democrats Will Condemn It Any Minute Now

I don’t advise that you hold your breath.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is seen on video recently embracing hate preacher and leader of the Nation of Islam Church, Louis Farrakhan, as if they’re old friends.

As Ryan Saavedra of the Daily Wire points out, this is likely because they actually are old friends. Saavedra also dug up an old video of Farrakhan and Waters hugging it out at a 2002 Nation of Islam event where he complimented her on being a “great congresswoman” before condemning Israel for responding in force with superior weapons and technology when these pour Palestinians can only attack by strapping bombs to themselves.

Farrakhan is known for referring to Hitler as a “great man” and recently referred to Jewish people as termites. For Waters to associate with Farrakhan, much less show him any kind of affection is disturbing, to say the least, especially in light of the hypocrisy from the left who consistently point at other groups with accusations of racism and bigotry.

The question is now how the Democrats will react to Waters and Farrakhan’s friendship if they react at all.

Connections to Farrakhan certainly aren’t working out for The Women’s March leadership. On Monday, Tamika Mallory was confronted by The View co-host Meghan McCain over her friendship with Farrakhan and was repeatedly asked to condemn Farrakhan’s remarks about Jewish people. Instead, Mallory did her best to dance around the question and refused to distance herself from his antisemitic remarks.

This after The Women’s March had a human rights award rescinded from them over their antisemitism, and the founder of the Women’s March, Theresa Shook, called for Mallory, Linda Sarsour, Bob Bland, and Carmen Perez to step down over their antisemitic stances.
