Elizabeth Warren Makes Surprise Visit to Native American Summit With Most Un-Self-Aware Speech Ever

There were a lot of politicians and important guests at the American Indians Tribal National Policy Summit, but noticeably absent was the only sitting senator who claims to have Native American blood flowing through her veins. However, this has now all changed, as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (aka Fauxcahontas) decided to make a surprise appearance, where she gave a very un-self-aware and insulting speech to the Native Americans.

During Warren’s address to the Native American’s gathered there, the Democratic senator once again reasserted that she was Native American herself, despite the fact that there is no documentation or proof that she is, that Trump is disrespectful to Native Americans because Trump, and that corporations are bad.

Warren started by started by telling the story of Pocahontas, which has been largely made into a fairy tale by the culture at large, and finishing the tale with one of the most un-self-aware statements of 2018 so far.

“Indigenous people have been telling the story of Pocahontas — the real Pocahontas — for four centuries. A story of heroism. And bravery. And pain. And, for almost as long, her story has been taken away by powerful people who twisted it to serve their own purposes,” said Warren without a hint of irony.

Interestingly enough, Pocahontas’ actual descendant is a Trump voter. Just thought I’d throw that tidbit of information in there.

Warren then went into how Trump disrespects Native Americans by disrespecting her.

Our country’s disrespect of Native people didn’t start with President Trump. It started long before President Washington ever took office.

But now we have a president who can’t make it through a ceremony honoring Native American war heroes without reducing Native history, Native culture, Native people to the butt of a joke.

The joke, I guess, is supposed to be on me.

Warren admitted that you won’t find her name or her family’s on any tribal records, but trust her, she’s totally a Native American.

I get why some people think there’s hay to be made here. You won’t find my family members on any rolls, and I’m not enrolled in a tribe.

And I want to make something clear. I respect that distinction. I understand that tribal membership is determined by tribes — and only by tribes. I never used my family tree to get a break or get ahead. I never used it to advance my career.

I count three lies in that last paragraph. Warren doesn’t at all respect the distinction. If she did she wouldn’t lie about it. Furthermore she has used her fake family tree to get a break and get ahead, and she’s definitely used it to advance her career. For one, she lied about her ancestry on a job app to land a position at Harvard. That’s two claims tossed into the lie pile.

As far as getting a break, she’s using the claim that she’s Native American to catch a break…in this very speech. She’s using her supposed ancestry as a shield from criticism stemming from Trump and other Republicans.

It should be noted that Warren is being honest about one point. There are no documents proving she’s tied to the Cherokee nation as she claims. Former Cherokee Nation Chief Chad Smith told The Boston Globe that Warren’s ancestry exists nowhere in their meticulous records. According to documentary evidence, Warren is lying, and members of the Cherokee nation have publicly asked her to stop claiming she one of them.

Nevertheless, Warren persists.

The not a Native American Democrat proceeded to give tired talking points on how Native Americans are mistreated by those racist Republicans in office, and how big corporations are hurting them, especially big oil.

If Warren really wanted to help the Native American people she claims to belong to, she’d advocate for more private ownership of that land by the residents of reservations, not less. Due to the fact that the land is owned by the federal government, no improvements can be made without a long, drawn out process that stymies economic growth, and keeps the Native American population living in the early 19th century. Of course, suggesting that the Natives actually own the land they live on is somehow racist, and detrimental to their lives.

This as many can’t get clean drinking water to literally save their lives.

So Warren is not only a liar, she’s actively promotes their detriment.
