In light of the heated and personal nature of the GOP nominating contest, it may be worthwhile to ask folks to make a pledge:
“I will wholeheartedly support the GOP nominee against Barack Obama. I will contribute financially to the campaign to the extent I am able, contribute my time if I can, and publicly and enthusiastically support the nominee.”

I thought so

This is where we start to find out who is serious and who’s not.

In other words
Brad Smith (Diary) Saturday, January 28th at 1:08PM EST (link)You’d rather have 4 more years of Obama than support the Republican nominee. We get it.
Let’s hope most conservatives don’t agree.

You're doin' it wrong, Brad.
acat (Diary) Saturday, January 28th at 1:05PM EST (link)You need to aim this at the Ronbots, Paulistines, Paultards, and Moderate GOP squishies.
They’re the ones most likely to bolt, given historical data, if the GOP nominates a milquetoast candidate.

What makes you think
Brad Smith (Diary) Saturday, January 28th at 1:12PM EST (link)What makes you think that this isn’t aimed at Ronbots, Paulistines, and squishes, as you call them? It’s aimed at everyone on the right side of the spectrum; at everyone who calls themselves conservative or center right or whatever. My point, exactly, is that everyone needs to remember what the ultimate goal is, and to recognize, unlike TexasTaxpayer, that we can’t let the bitterness of the primary campaign blind us to the bigger picture.
I don’t ask you to pledge your support to Paul, or Gingrich, or Romney, or Santorum, but to the nominee. Because the reality is, whoever that is, he’s the only person who can defeat Obama in the fall.

But
Brad Smith (Diary) Saturday, January 28th at 2:40PM EST (link)But not squishes! And beyond that, it’s here on Redstate, more than any other site, where I constantly hear pay say outright, or imply, that they will not support the nominee if he is not their preferred candidate.
Where do you star acat? Will you support the nominee, or walk? I’m supporting the nominee.

APA Guy (Diary) Sunday, January 29th at 1:48PM EST (link)…and I completely concur with your assessment of this nonsensical drivel.
Pledge support to Romney, a self-admited progressive, Eastern establishment stooge?
NEVER
He may get my vote as the anti-Obama, but never will I sell out and prop up someone of his make and model.
I perfer charming hesitation

Vegas_Rick (Diary) Sunday, January 29th at 1:40PM EST (link)Support McCain or lose to a Dem. How’d that work out for us? Most of us are not convinced that 4 years of Romeny would be a whole lot different than 4 more years of Obama. Unless we get a small government conservative in the White House. It doesn’t effing matter. This country will continue the slide it’s been in for the past 50 years (minus Reagans eight).
Romney is not and has never been a small government conservative. His politics, when no onme was looking, were very similar to Obambies.
He’ll get my vote, but that’s it.Winning isn’t always more important than principle.
We won’t get this ship turned around until it hits the rocks.

Hitting the rocks is a bad idea.
Brad Smith (Diary) Sunday, January 29th at 2:16PM EST (link)Man, I don’t want to hit the rocks. In the 30s we hit the rocks, and got the new deal. In the 60s we hit the rocks and got the Great Society. In ’06 and ’08 we hit the rocks and got Obamacare.
I’m going to venture a guess that there is nobody on this site – nobody – who has more reason to dislike John McCain than I do. I sure wish he’d won.

I think it's larger than this VR, its about establishment crushing tea party
Common_Cents (Diary) Sunday, January 29th at 3:04PM EST (link)Gingrich happens to be the current closest supporter of the tea party.
It’s disgusting and scary when the DC establishment shows their fangs.
Gingrich needs to come out immediately and support the precinct project and revive the tea party efforts.
I’m nearly convinced that the parties in DC are less about winning, and more about retaining power in their parties. Not good.
