A plan for dealing with ILLEGAL INVADERS

Since the talking heads on here like to claim that many of us only offer criticism rather than real solutions, below is a plan to deal with the illegal invader issue here in the US.  Do not be confused by the politically correct references to “undocumented aliens” or illegal “immigrants”.  Those here illegally are CRIMINALS and ILLEGAL INVADERS violating the sovereignty of the United States.   Why would we reward people whose first act on our soil is to violate our laws?

PHASE 1: Build the freakin’ fence, back it up with a wall, include a moat, and then install randomly placed land mines across the entire southern border. Call it a “massive public works program” (channel your inner FDR)  if that makes you touchy, feely progressive RINOS sleep better at night. STOP with the cost thing please; I am sure we can divert the printing presses off of the EURO bailout program for a couple of days to get the cash.

PHASE 2: DEPORT every illegal in the country, one at a time if necessary. Please note that DEPORT does not equal detain. Again, you can call this a “jobs” program if it makes you feel better, as I am sure we can put people to work on this effort.

PHASE 3: Expedite all LEGAL immigrants after sufficient background checks. Yes, you guessed it: another jobs program possibility.

PHASE 4: Resume LEGAL immigration through LEGAL processes.

BTW, there is no need for a national ID program. I realize this is going to be confusing for many of you: B-I-R-T-H  C-E-R-T-F-I-C-A-T-E

How many states does Perry think there are?

(I posted this as a comment to another diary, but I thought it deserved its own place in my diary.)

Shouldn’t the GOP choose a candidate that has a “clue” as to how many Justices there are on the Supreme Court?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/perry-blows-correct-count-of-supreme-court-justices-plus-one-key-name/

If you are going to criticize Obama for his “57 states” ignorance, shouldn’t we expect basic civics knowledge from someone on the right wanting to be PRESIDENT?

Not only that, but Gov. Perry goes on to criticize “unelected and frankly unaccountable  judges”. Does this mean that Perry does not agree with the U.S. Constitution or the Founders who created the very system he is criticizing? Why isn’t anyone asking him this question?

I am on record as stating that I could vote for any of the GOP candidates, except McRomney.  Perry is testing this position each time he opens his mouth.

Hey Boehner, how about showing us what is behind Door #4 . . .

For those you of who wonder why us Tea Party folks are seething mad at the House GOP and Speaker Boehner, let’s take a look at a little Washington math.

Boenher Plan v3.0 supposedly cuts spending by $900 Billion over 10 years.  1st off, no sitting Congress can restrain future Congresses, so any real cuts are only binding on the current Congress (and we all know how that works). But let’s travel to ‘The Shire’ for a moment and “pretend” that they would adhere to this plan:

According to Obama’s own “budget” (yes, I realize this too requires the “willing suspension of disbelief” since the Democrats have yet to pass a budget in over 800 days), total NEW SPENDING over the next 10 years will be $8.7 Trillion.

Boehner’s gang offers a “deal” which averages $90 Billion in cuts per year, while Obama and the Democrats tell us they are going to increase spending by an average of $870 Billion per year ($8.7 Trillion in New Spending / 10 years).  To make matters worse, we all know that this new spending estimate is laughingly low compared to actual spending.

No matter where you are from, whether it is Middle Earth, The Shire, or Mordor, this deal ends up adding (at a bare minimum) $7.8 Trillion in NEW SPENDING ($8.7 Trillion – $0.9 Trillion) over the next decade.  Is this the GOP’s idea of spending cuts?  No wonder we are BROKE!

This Hobbit would like to see what is behind Door #4, or at least rewind to Door #1, CUT,  CAP & Balance!

Obama is ‘irresponsible’ – according to Harry Reid

I know, you can’t find that exact quote anywhere via a web search.  While conservatives will easily grasp it, I suspect most liberals will immediately be lost by this foreign concept: LOGIC!

Earlier today, Senator Jim DeMint made his case for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and tying it to the upcoming vote on increasing the debt ceiling.  As expected, the left quickly brought out their tired talking points their addiction to borrowing and spending money we do not have.

The real eye opener came from Jon Summers, Harry Reid’s spokesman.  In case you don’t understand the word “spokesman”, it means that Mr. Summers SPEAKS for Harry Reid.   According to Summers (and by the nature of his position, Harry Reid),

“It’s irresponsible to advocate that the United States of America default on its debt,” he said in an email. “Not only do we have an obligation to pay our bills, the world economy cannot afford the consequences of the U.S. defaulting on its debt because of partisan political posturing”

So, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Obama must also be irresponsible.  I reach this simple conclusion by offering a flashback to 2006, when then Senator Obama said this,

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Thus ends today’s simple lesson in “logic”.  By the way, I do happen to agree with President Obama, for once: “Americans deserve better.”

‘New math’

President Obama has once again has told us that “better education in math and science is critical to pushing the U.S. forward.” I am sure we can all agree that improving education is a productive and noble endeavor for any society.  We have been told for many years now that American kids are suffering competitively when compared to kids in other nations.  According to Obama, “American students rank 21st in science and 25th in math compared with students around the world.”

Most ‘common sense’ people (aka, flyover country) would immediately question our educational systems and those that are teaching our kids.  The intellectuals big government liberals immediately claim more money is needed.  If money is the leading factor educational performance, why isn’t America at the “top of the class.”  After all, “total educational spending in the US was at 7.4% of GDP in 2004, second highest among OECD countries.”

Since most of us can only look at things from our own experiences, I thought perhaps I was just getting old and my math education was no longer “current”.  I quickly dismissed that theory after realizing that I am 5 years YOUNGER than Obama (at least according to the vast array of  birth documentation floating around for Obama).  Then it came to me like an apple hitting me in the head (pardon the “outdated” reference to Isaac Newton)!

We were told by so many during Obama’s inauguration that he had the power to “lower the seas”, heal the sick, and send tingles down Chris Mathews’ legs.  So I have a theory: perhaps Obama can shift the mathematical laws of nature and create a “New Math”!   I am sure most of you are skeptical, so I will prove my point with a couple of easy illustrations.

Problem #1 -  The number of stars on the American flag equals the number of states.  If the number of stars on the American flag equals 50, how many states are there in the United States?

“Old math” solution: 50 = 50.  There must be 50 states in the United States!

“New math” (Obama math) solution: 50 = 57.  According to Obama math, 50 stars must equal 57 states. (see this for supporting documentation)

Problem #2 -  If Johnny borrows $100 for one year at a 10% annual interest rate, how much interest does he owe at the end of that year?

“Old math” solution: $100 x .10 = $10.  Johnny will owe $10 in interest.

“New math” (Obama math) solution: $100 x .10 = $0.  According to Obama’s “new math”, Johnny will owe ZERO dollars in interest.  I realize that this one is a little more abstract, but I call your attention to the recent White House debt reduction “strategy” where the Administration is not counting interest payments as a budget “cost”.

A cursory search of the internet will reveal many more examples of these “new math” principles coming out of the Obama Administration (i.e., stimulus job creation numbers, unemployment rates, etc.).  Finding myself on the precipice of discovery, I was very excited and ready to tell the whole world that Barack Hussein Obama will go down in history as one of world’s greatest mathematicians.

After the euphoria wore off, I returned to my usual, analytical self and began to reexamine this “new math” under a more critical eye.  My conclusion: Obama’s education is sorely lacking and he should take some of that money he wants for education and hire a tutor.   HINT: don’t look to Wisconsin for a mathematics teacher.

Just out cruising to make a “score”

As usual, another alarming story appears to have slipped past the ever vigilant eyes of the main stream media.  As I perused the various news sources, I happened across what I thought may be a very serious issue.  The headline read, “Hezbollah Working with Cartels”.  Right away I was skeptical.  After all, I seem to remember ‘Big Sis’ assuring us that the U.S.- Mexico Border As Secure Now As It Has Ever Been”.

Since the left is constantly telling us that Fox News lies and spreads “right wing” propaganda, I thought I had better do a little research of my own.  Lo and behold, I found several articles claiming that Middle Eastern terrorist groups are working with the Mexico drug cartels just south of our “secure” border.  When I looked at the dates, things really got confusing clear.  First reports of this were as early as 2008; nearly 3 years BEFORE the Fox News article and nearly 2 years BEFORE Homeland Gropers Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s assurances of border security.

By now, I am sure you are very concerned about our national security.  I admit I was too, at least at first.  The crazy, right wing part of my brain immediately jumped to the conclusion that terrorists who hate Americans and want to kill us all are sneaking into our country via the Southern border.  I immediately began to gather phone numbers of my Congressman and Senators to demand that we seal up the border.  I quickly returned to sanity and threw away my Senators’ phone numbers, as I remembered they were on ANOTHER “vacation” (they are also flaked out leftists who love “undocumented immigrants” ILLEGAL INVADERS).

Then it hit me!  I realized that I must be totally wrong on this whole terrorist/open border thing.  Those crazy Islamic radicals are just cruising through Mexico hoping to score some ‘medical marijuana’.  Ole’!

Time for Joe Biden to put a little ‘skin in the game’

From the diaries by Leon…

So, the great “tax cutters” and “deficit hawks” are at it again.  Obama has been telling us what a serious threat the exploding deficit is to our futures.  Interestingly enough, he continues to omit the small detail that his administration is responsible for the largest growth of the federal debt in the history of the Republic.

In the spirit of a “willing suspension of disbelief”, let’s take Obama at his word (yes, I am choking on that statement too) for a moment.  After two years, the President says he is now ready to get serious about attacking the national debt.  So, what is the target of his next ‘budget salvo’?  You guessed it: high speed rail.  For this great move, he trots out your favorite and mine, Uncle Joe Biden (a.k.a, Vice President).

VP Biden announced today that the Obama Administration is proposing spending an additional $53 billion to “help promote the construction of a national high-speed, intercity passenger rail network.”  Yes, I am still trying to figure out how spending “more” money actually reduces the deficit, but I am sure this will be part of that “fundamental transformation” of basic economic principles they keep telling us about.  Or this just the “new normal”?  I keep getting those mixed up.

I would like to commend President Obama on selecting a real expert to announce this momentous project.  VP Biden has often bragged about his dedication to the Amtrak system and his 7000+ round trip rides during his long and illustrious (okay, just long) Senate career.
