Just kidding, but it’s not a bad idea anyway. Regarding the usage and the site rules, I tried to remain within the spirit of the rules not intending to be vulgar or base. Neither was it a random selection of crudeness to add emphasis, but instead a call to arms. When I pushed the publish button, there were no second thoughts about "is this profane?" Considering it was promoted to the front page (not because of the quality of the post but because of the importance of the message), I must assume the contributors agreed.

But this should not be about the post or me, but instead about raising money for Caleb and a very worthy cause so I have changed the language to keep the focus on the goal.

I would appreciate it if my comment ended this particular thread and someone started up another by saying "I have donated."

Language?

I agree completely with the sentiment, to be sure -- but I feel compelled to point out site rules and remind you of them. Surely there was another way to convey the same sentiments without profanity?

I consider this money well invested, exponentially better than just a basic campaign contribution. I know how hard Caleb works, seen him in action, and know he gets results.

I am always complaining about the nutroots and the media... today, I did something about it.

Some of us can only make a difference by being able to support those that are doing the hard work. Even if it is a few dollars, all of those add up and can help those who are working tirelessly on our behalf. Now that we are aware of the need, we can respond.

On a personal note, giving to our independent journalists and grassroots efforts is more gratifying than the dollars that just disappear into the great holes of the political parties. I also believe that even if one can't give financial assist, prayers and words of encouragement can sustain the Spartans.
