Revealed: Barack Obama Slammed Hillary Clinton, Savaged Her Campaign After 2016

We are apparently stuck in some layer of hell that requires us to constantly relive the 2016 election. Democrats are still trying to re-litigate with their various Trump investigations and not a month goes by without Hillary Clinton herself letting us know the election was stolen from her.

Former President Barack Obama is no exception as new revelations in an upcoming book reveal his reaction to Hillary Clinton’s loss.

Former President Barack Obama was unhappy with Hillary Clinton and her failed “soulless campaign” in 2016, saying he saw her loss as a “personal insult.”

The new details come from a recently released update to New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker’s book Obama: The Call of History.

The new edition, which includes Obama’s reaction to the 2016 election, said Obama compared himself to Michael Corleone, the titular character of “The Godfather.” Obama thought he “almost got out” of office untouched, like a mob boss avoiding a hit job.

That’s pretty rough, although is he wrong? Her campaign was essentially rudderless, with no real purpose articulated and led by one of the most robotic, inauthentic people to ever run.

What’s more interesting about these comments is seeing just how much of a narcissist Obama is. Why would he take it as a personal insult? His term was over. The comparing himself to the Godfather is also pretty comical. It is a window into his mind though. He really saw himself as some transcendent figure, floating above it all and never making any mistakes. Of course, those of us living in reality saw plenty of scandals and flubs by the former President but he clearly has no self-awareness of that.

The irony here is that Obama’s failures were a large factor in the environment that allowed Trump to win. Had he been less divisive and less dismissive of his opponents, perhaps Hillary would have garnered that last 75k votes she needed in MI, PA, and WI? Instead, he propagated constant division, leading to events such as the Ferguson riots. He also refused to compromise at all with the GOP when it came to legislation.

The book details that Obama could not believe Americans had “decided to replace him with a buffoonish showman whose calling cards had been repeated bankruptcies, serial marriages and racist dog whistles.”

Again, perhaps Obama should reflect on why he was replaced with Trump? Instead, he seems oblivious to the idea that anyone could do anything but love him. So while Obama’s shots at Clinton aren’t wrong, he should perhaps take a long look in the mirror if he wants someone to blame for the 2016 election.

Because in the end, no one had more to do with Trump becoming President than Barack Obama.
