bobbymike, you're pushing the envelope
mbecker908 (Diary) Sunday, October 26th at 11:18AM EST (link)and NOT in a good way.
This is a comment, not a diary. Please post this kind of stuff in an open thread and don’t take up space with it in the diaries.
Thanks.
Princeton's Web dictionary
bobbymike (Diary) Sunday, October 26th at 2:17PM EST (link)a diary post is a daily written record of experiences and observations. Does Redstate have a rule book page I can read.
I have filled out my profile
bobbymike (Diary) Sunday, October 26th at 2:28PM EST (link)so you can see who I am.
Somehow I think this will be pearls before swine...
mbecker908 (Diary) Sunday, October 26th at 3:11PM EST (link)but what the heck, I’ll try once.
A “Diary” entry at Redstate should, at a minimum, consist of the following:
1. Subject matter based on a new, or relatively so, political news event.
2. Such subject matter should be identified as personal opinion or links should be provided to the original source.
3. If the point of the entry is an outside source, quotations should be offered that respect fair use and highlight the point to be made by the diary author.
4. Personal comment should then be added so that readers can understand the author’s POV and be able to make comments regarding the subject matter.
Stuff like you’ve posted here belongs in an open thread. It’s nothing more than a cutesy note, not a bad one, just not Diary material. It’s a comment, not a diary.
If you need real world examples, just click on all of the “Recommended Diaries”. You’ll note that all conform to the general format I’ve noted above.
The types of posts you’ve tossed out here are welcome at RS, just not as Diaries. Please make an effort to contribute Diaries that foster discussion and debate, this does not.
