need to be plastering all over the airwaves during the campaign season (heck, do it now).

This is simple and easy for the average American to understand. ‘Course it will help if the GOP will actually, then, walk the talk re: spending.

That is a great video and perhaps it will....

help those who cannot WRAP their brains around those dollar amounts OBTW I hate when people say the “average” American cannot understand these dollar amounts because I believe a MAJORITY get it!

Brilliant!

Now that is how it’s done. You couldn’t put it any clearer.

$100 million is a drop in the bucket, and Americans need to understand the implications of all those extra pennies.

That was good!

And to think … once upon a time Congress folk said that that only a million (maybe a billion) here and there might add up to a significant number.

Someone should put this on prime-time TV as a commercial

It would be money well-spent to educate people just exactly how badly they being hoodwinked.

the GOP needs to find Indy...errr...talented film-makers...

Perhaps this is the extent to which we must dumb things down.

I don’t think the American people are stupid, just ill-informed (by design).

Most Americans could understand simple concepts if they were honestly reported, and just a bit of time and effort was taken to think about them.

The problem is, Americans, unlike much of the developed world, actually work really hard. We don’t take mandatory 10 minute breaks every 15 minutes and have mandatory 10 week vacations every year like the communized western european countries do. So, we don’t have a lot of time to sit around and watch news and such. We are quite busy. Accordingly, we tend to just take our news in sound-bytes like “34% of the Bush tax cuts go to the top 1% of income earners”. If however, people were willing to invest jut a bit of intellectual energy to understand simple concepts like “the top 1% of income earners pay 34% of all federal income taxes”, then the sound-bytes wouldn’t be so effective.

“Life is too short, can’t we all just eat pork and kill some terrorists?”

I'd put some money behind that
