Hey, Its my civic duty to bring enlightenment to the darkness.
- Damn. This is a cold, hard day and our "free" press is doing nothing to alert the public of the loss of their 4th Amendment. Very dark times. Very, very dark.
- Rape of the Constitution.
- Anyone want to start a new country? I'm thinking of calling it "Canada"
- Dems f'd us
- Barack Obama lied. Plain and simple. He said he would filibuster any legislation that contained retroactive immunity for the telecoms. But he didn't. What else can you call that? And if he can get rolled so quickly on one of the most important pieces of legislation in my lifetime, why should I, or you, or anyone else believe he won't get rolled on issues of less importance?
- I did support Obama I even gave him money. My biggest point is that once he leaves us behind, how do I know what he will do? The telecom immunity is a great big deal. And as I have written before, he just kicked us in the teeth with his vote.
- anyone notice that MyBO is down?
- This is a clear violation of the fourth amendment. When Obama makes liberal appointees to the Supreme Court, this legislation won't last five minutes.
- Time for a General Strike You want your so-called "inalienable rights"? Well, they've been alienated. Time to fight back or those rights will be lost forever. A General Strike is the last legal route to express citizen displeasure with this congress. I want them to know just how badly they've f'd up.
- Fightin' FISA is hard work. That Obama, sure did fight against telecom immunity, didn't he? Fight, fight, fight. Fight is his new middle name. Motherf'r.
- The Democratic Surrender Monkies belong in a zoo, not the Senate. They are pandering to the telecoms, not their voters. They seem to think that they have Purple State cover. I want to help blow that away, and leave them visible as the naked traitors they are.
- NOOOOOOOOOOO CNN, who hasn't give a damn time on this is now covering this WHAT BULLS'T. UTTER BULLS'T
- Obama 08/Kerry 04 Kerry 04: "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it." Obama 08: "I actually did vote against warrantless wiretaps before I voted for it."
- Someone please post when Bush signs the bill We have a new lawsuit ready to go at that moment.
- Bill Passes 69-28... ...and Obama and Webb voted "Yes". Today, I feel ashamed to be an American.
- Rockefeller is complicit in the coverup of a felony crime. His little handwritten lovenote to Dick Cheney proves that he was complicit around mid-July, 2003. And if they ever prosecute Bush for torture (as he's admitted), they'll have to prosecute Rockefeller for that as well, because he was fully briefed as early as 2002 and not only kept his mouth shut, Rockefeller actually was one of only 12 Democrats in the Senate to revoke habeas corpus and make torture legal!
- I'd like to send a BIIIG FOAD to my Sen Bill Nelson (D-umbasshole, FL), may his liver spots eat him
Add my personal favorite:
- My prediction: Inside of 72 hours: The full magnitude of how incredibly bad this bill is will be manifest.
Personally I don't think it will be that quick. The window of opportunity opens with the President's signature. Perhaps within two weeks, maybe less. But this person will be right!
Oh.. I'm sorry... 'lefty' will be 'correct'.
Oh happy day! When justice comes. It'll wipe the tears away. All now, break into the chorus. And remember: John McCain was not there. He did not vote on FISA. He is unattached.

I love reading it here, but can't bring myself to go "there."
Some suckers, you just can't feel too bad about taking their money.
Impeach the 5 usurpers
with regards to warrantless wiretapping is whether or not terrorism is a criminal matter or a matter of war. Those, like the Kossacks, want to treat it as a criminal matter. That is why they see this as a 4th amendment issue. The other side, folks like me and most of Redstate (though I don't want to speak for others), want to treat it as a matter of war.
In war, you don't get a warrant before you spy on the enemy. FDR didn't ask a judge before spying on the Nazis. No President has during war time.
That is the central question that needs to be resolved. Do we want to treat this as a war or a criminal matter? Someone should ask the Kossacks.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor
my personal favorite is 13. Give many bonus points for clever humor...

Are we living in 1920s Italy? I can't believe people still try to spout such crap.
"If they were merely incompetent, then at least SOME of their actions would have been to the benefit of the country."
is that they really believe they could pull off a general strike. I've dealt with it with union activists; any sane person knew that they couldn't pull off a three day strike, but they'd be pounding their chests and telling you how they were going to shut you down and bring down your government. Yeah, they're reality based alright.

over this measure which does impact on all our civil liberties, even if in a small way. Lets not forget as conservatives that we all want small government and small government does also mean minimising its involvement in all our lives. So yes, its fun watching the dems implode over this, but lets also remember who we are.
Is FOAD a bad thing? ;>)

It actually long predates texting - f**k off and die.

Reminds me of why the Prince and (late) Princess of Wales didn't name their firstborn "Up."
The family would then have been known as---
"Up Chuck and Di."
