Hey Girlie Man - Come Get You Some!

MACHO BAMBI STRIKES TERROR IN THE HEARTS OF FIELD MICE AND GUPPIES EVERYWHERE!
Barack - well, apparently you've done some primping in front of the mirror and decided you got a little bad boy in you. Or maybe THIS episode with those reporterette groupie tramps [h/t Jaded -- I heart you!] convinced you that you got a little spark in your pants, eh?
From the mouth of Macho Bambi: The GOP, should I be the nominee, can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record. If they think that they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful because that I find unacceptable, the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family.
Oh my. We should be "careful". You find it "unacceptable".
OK, you're kidding right? BWWWAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.................
:pauses uproarious guffawing:
whew...
:wipes brow:
Let me speak seriously for a moment. You lie, Barry Milhouse Obama. Nobody is *attacking* your wife. Because you're a nitwit who couldn't find your own ass with both hands and a map, I'll help you out with the difference. Attacking your wife would be if they said something like this: "She's a bitter elitist racist harpy who is just the type to drive in the left lane, under the speed limit, yapping away on the cell phone that is attached to the side of her head." It's personal. It's off-topic. It's personally demeaning and makes unfair assumptions. THAT's an attack. And trust me, Republicans know all about our families being the victims of gratuitous personal attacks from the Treason Media and other Democrats. Remember Cheney's daughter?
But nobody said anything remotely like that. Tennessee GOP ran an ad quoting what your wife said ON THE RECORD and ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL. They quoted her directly and made no mention of her otherwise. Zip. Zero. Here's the ad, watch it again if you need to. She speaks on the campaign trail. TGOP quotes her and nothing else. (Oh by the way, ya just gotta LOVE the guy with all the guns in the pool hall. You *do* love that guy, right? He is, after all, proud to be an American, just like your wife.)
You lied. So I'm setting you straight.
:resumes sniggles and snorts:
In middle America -- you know, the land of all those "bitter" folk who cling to God and guns because we're too stupid to be elitist yuppy snots like you -- we know men, we know women, and we know girlie men. You don't wear the pants in your family and every man in America knows it. GOD HELP US if a little man-lite like you ever gets to sit in the Captain's Chair. God help us.
So don't even try to bluff me. If you make the threat, then come on, bring it. I got something for ya. I can tell you something else too. In a 'get dirty behind the school bus' scrap between the 71-yr old [h/t c17wife!] former POW and Navy jet fighter pilot who can't lift his arms above his shoulders, and a 46-yr old corrupt Chicago-machine lawyer prima donna .....I got McCain. All day. All. Frakking. Day.
So you want Republicans to make nicey nicey and never quote your actively campaigning wife? Listen up, Bambi. We will quote her, just like we quote YOU, because we know that the more America hears of your tired vision of a "bitter" country that is "just downright mean", the more likely Americans will vote for John McCain.
Don't like it? Then.......
Come
get
you
some,
Macho Bambi
Work today is gonna stink for me. I was up late talking with some famous conservative political people [yes, I'm bragging, no, I can't say who], and was so jazzed that I couldn't go to sleep - so I cooked this one up, which was on my mind anyway.
Figured you'd be the first to see it. You da chick!

OK, so their feelings don't get hurt, we'll call it a tie.

Gone 2500 years, still not PC.
Newsweek says so.
"It has been a rarity in modern political life: a wide-open race for the nomination of both parties. But whatever happens from here on out, this campaign will always be remembered for the emergence of the first serious woman candidate for president: Barack Obama.
Obama is a female candidate for president in the same way that Bill Clinton was the first black president.
It was Toni Morrison who first had the insight. In a 1998 essay in the New Yorker, the Nobel Prize-winning author described Bill Clinton as "the first black president," commenting on his saxophone playing and his displaying "almost every trope of blackness."
Obama doesn't play the sax. But he is pushing against conventional—and political party nominating convention—wisdom in five important ways, with approaches that are usually thought of as qualities and values that women bring to organizational life: a commitment to inclusiveness in problem solving, deep optimism, modesty about knowing all the answers, the courage to deliver uncomfortable news, not taking on all the work alone, and a willingness to air dirty linen. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is taking a more traditional (and male?) authoritarian approach."

Sorry, this even beats Silky Pony.

Will Mr. Metrosexual be able to defend the country's interests? Probably not. But the cufflinks are to die for!
In fact, we will catalog the Divine One's cool threads so you can order some for mr-c17.
Which explains a good deal about Michelle Obama, I suspect.
That compassionately conservative concession aside, a great blog! Especially that last bit about McCain.
(although if Ahmadinejad was corruptible, a Chicago pol might be just the thing this time around! Sadly, he isn't.)
I was trying to find a way to express my disdain for the Obamination and his little "look at me, I'm a tough guy" snit, but you did it so much better than I ever could have. Bravo!

Love it all. I too could not find the way to articulate what I was feeling on this issue, you took care of that for me.
Michelle has opened her self up to a criticism, it's as simple as that. I agree, I don't think families of politicians should be PERSONALLY attacked, but none of this qualifies as personal.
If you can't take the heat Michelle, stay home and keep your mouth shut.

which of course was not a true statment even way back then, when a traditional wife was very important to her man's career.
Now, with the Dual Power Couple and "Buy One, Get One Free*", mentality, uh, NO! A political First Lady is fair game. As is a First Husband.
* this is known as a fire sale- caveat emptor!
a president Obama is that Michelle is the First Black Hillary.
And like c17 said, it's just like a Pujols HR (especially the one that he hit last night against the Padres...ouch!).
Damn good blog EPU.
Now also found at The Minority Report
... massive, uh, words.
Someone should tell Obama he's not being very diplomatic. He hasn't even come to talk to us yet.

and in so doing earned my respect. Weak people can't accomplish what he has.
Having said that, of course what Michelle Obama has said on the record is deserving of scrutiny by voters.
And you're absolutely welcome to your observations. However, I don't attribute his success to his tenacity of character - I attribute it to good looks, smooth oratory skills, Al Gore not running, the Chicago Machine, a veritable gold mine of glowing, fawning press coverage, and viable opponents who were (1) an evil, hard-bitten witch with a toxic last name, and (2) Silky Pony, the pretty ambulance chaser.
When it was time for gut checks, I find him doing nothing but whining. Can I just eat my waffles? Don't talk about my ears. I already answered, like, nine questions.

Whiner in Chief, that is. Delicious Post!
If Senator Obama's bitter half speaks as her husband's surrogate (or is it the other way around?) she is fair game. If she doesn't want to take the punches she needs to get out of the fight!
HIGHLY recommend for content and humor!

EPU..you rated well beyond my puny ability to award the appropriate amount of Lobsters. I was thinking in the 20-25 range!!!!! (You should see what the price of marine fuel has done to the price of lobsters!!!)
speciallist.. I took note of finrod's sig line that a picture is worth a thousand words but takes the bandwidth of ten thousand to heart!!! (BTW I love that line!!) With larger and larger files (13 Megapxel cameras!) he may have to change that to one hundred thousand!
Hey, alot of software programs can step down the resolution on a picture so that instead of 1.3M, it's 67K, or however big you want. Like Paintshop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Obviously you'll lose some detail if you get it real small though.

It's good to see you hanging around here more. Now if we could only get TheSophist to drop in now and again, the 3 of us + absentee (+ who knows who else, RS is full of closet scholars) could have some high-brow discussions of the finer points of your namesake, the inimitable E Burke.
