Obama in his February address to a joint session of Congress: “…I have ordered the closing of the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, and will seek swift and certain justice for captured terrorists. Because living our values doesn’t make us weaker, it makes us safer and it makes us stronger.”
Obama to Fox News this week: “Obama said he was ‘not disappointed’ that the Guantanamo deadline had slipped, saying he ‘knew this was going to be hard.’”
Put these together and Obama is not disappointed that he has failed to make us safer and stronger. Can it be interpreted any other way?

avgamerican (Diary) Wednesday, November 18th at 12:46PM EST (link)I posted something last month which I titled “From a Lion to a Lamb.” I took the title from an excerpt in a New York Times editorial which described President Obama’s approach to foreign policy including dealing with Iran. President Obama is doing everything possible to send a non-threatening message to terrorists which has even drawn criticism from France. He is doing exactly what Bill Clinton did prior to 9-11. He is treating terrorism as a police matter, a strategy which was proven to have led to 9-11. I will continue to direct my anger at the voters. The voters were warned of Presdent Obama’s weak stand toward our enemies, but they decided that did not matter. Now, the latest Zogby Poll shows only 43% would vote for him now. Too late. The damage is done. If Americans think that they will have peace by voting in a pacifist, they are sadly mistaken and dumb on history.
