		<title>Let Freedom Ring</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p><span lang="EN"><em>Governments are instituted among Men (and Women), deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new Government.</em></p>
<p>Our Founding Fathers said that 233 years ago, and I believe that WE THE PEOPLE, have the right to take our country back from these traitorous spendaholics before they drive us into nation bankruptcy.</p>
<p>When will the Left learn that everyone in this world HATES what we stand for, and are just laughing at us as our government Marches towards Communism. I hate to tell the Left this, but the Walls came crumbling down 20 years ago, and no matter how hard they try, WE THE PEOPLE will not let it happen here!</p>
<p>My fellow patriots, it is time to put petty bickering and party politics behind us, and STAND TOGETHER AS ONE!</p>
<p>Its time to tell these robber barons in Washington that we will be SILENT NO MORE!</p>
<p>If they can&#8217;t do their jobs, they need to be removed and replaced by people who will enact some laws for the people.</p>
<p>My patriot brothers and sisters, we CANNOT take this lying down. It is time that Washington heard our VOICE!</p>

		<title>For Those Of Us Nostalgic For the Cold War</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>In case anyone has been living under a rock (like me), I have just heard thay are going to remake the wildly popular Cold War classic &#8220;RED DAWN&#8221;.</strong></p>
<p><strong>I remember when the first one came out, I begged my Mom to buy me an assault rifle, lay in a couple years supply of food, and send me to a militia camp in Idaho. (Hey, I was 15. I was trying to be pragmatic.)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Needless to say, when the Cold War ended, I went through a year long depression&#8230;&#8221;Who am I gonna fight now?&#8221; I would wail.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Just one of those little bits of trivia that every one hates: RED DAWN was the first movie to recieve the new PG-13 rating.</strong></p>

<p><strong>It is a sign of respect that our brave men and women in uniform refer to you as Ma&#8217;am.</strong></p>

		<title>What The Hell Is Wrong With My Family?</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p><span lang="EN">Like the title says, “What the Hell is wrong with my family?”</p>
<p>I’m the political one in my family, all the others to me just don’t give a damn.</p>
<p>I have been active in politics since I was 12 years old. I ran Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign at my ELEMENTARY school. I have been active in other real campaigns, and even had a stint working for the Georgia Republican Party.</p>
<p>Though I must confess, since I have become disabled, my physical political activities have dropped to next to nothing. However, since I got a computer, and got online, I have took off into the world of cyber-politics. RedState, Glenn Beck and the 9/12 Project, Don’t Tread On Us. I have started feeling like I was finally coming back to life.</p>
<p>Every time I try to convince my family about the evils of partisan politics, our country’s march to socialism, and other important issues, they brush me off, telling me “its not important to my life.”</p>
<p>Well, when they wake up and see the freedoms they take for granted have been taken away one by one, I’m sure they’ll say “we never saw it coming.” BUT THEY DID! I TRIED TO TELL YOU!</p>
<p>I have made friends over politics, lost friends over politics. I have debated, argued, and even once come to blows. This matters to me.</p>
<p>So, family dear, if you expect me to take an interest in your life and listen to your views, at least have the common courtesy to at least listen to mine.</p>

		<title>Was It Really A Mandate For Change?</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Election Day, 2008</strong></p>
<p>All over the TV, all over America, even all over the world, everybody said that the election of Barack Obama was a &#8220;Mandate For Change.&#8221;</p>
<p>But was it truly?</p>
<p>Well, technically yes.</p>
<p>The <em>Merriam Webster Dictionary</em> gives the follow definition for Mandate: <em>An authorization to act, given to a representitive.</em></p>
<p>Is that not what an election is?</p>
<p>Mandate does not mean that its an overwhelming landslide. But, the mainstream media and the Democratic Party wants us to believe this to be true.</p>
<p>That for the exception of 61 million people who voted for Senator McCain, Mister Nader, Mister Barr, and the others, ALL of America welcomed Senator Barack Obama to the White House.</p>
<p>But it WASN&#8217;T the &#8220;Mandate&#8221; we were lead to believe. I did some figuring last night and this is what I found out.</p>

<p>In the 2008 election, the results went like this:</p>
<p>Senator Barack Obama (D)      69,498,215 votes</p>
<p>                                               52.93% of votes cast</p>
<p>                                               365 Electoral votes</p>
<p>Senator John McCain (R)        59, 948,240 votes</p>
<p>                                              45.66% of votes cast</p>
<p>                                              173 Electoral votes</p>
<p>Other Candidates                  1,850,529 votes</p>
<p>                                             1.41% of votes cast</p>
<p>                                              0 Electoral votes</p>
<p>If you do the math, that is only a <strong>7.27% </strong>majority out of the 131,296,984 votes cast. But, Obama&#8217;s percentage drops to 32.68% if you figure in all the ellidgible voters (which were 212,720,027). The percentage drops even lower if you figure in the entire US population (303,824,640) it becomes 22.87%, which means that statistically, only 1 in every 4 1/2 people voted for Barack Obama.</p>
<p>So the Democratic Party and its Media Machine can boast that Obama&#8217;s election was a mandate, because technically, that&#8217;s true. But remember, it wasn&#8217;t the overwhelming majority that they want you to believe.</p>
