I was reading your diary and it got me thinking again about how the very principles of socialism and ObaMaoism or Social Justice/Community Organizing and the control of profits and incentives are anti-progress. That includes Progressivism and any other -ism that tries to contain natural forces. As much as the left espouses the theory of evolution they want to control it when it comes to humanity. Humanity wants to adapt, change, and advance, but it does not do so when incentive to adapt, change and advance is limited. Look at the USSR what did the Soviet Union do to advance society, technology, and equality? It would seem to me that the Soviet Union only made minor advancements in military technology under the need to protect itself against the perceived threat of the United States. Again, communism only moved forward under forces that caused it to adapt, change, and advance, but it was stifled for so long. Whether ObaMao likes it or not, profit and self interest will only allow the United States to satisfy the majority rather than surpress the well-off to drag everyone down into a massive population of misery. Only two classes can develop under Obama’s perversion, ruling class and all of the rest.

The major point I am trying to make here is that as much as the Left espouses the theory of evolution, they believe that humanity needs to stop evoling or alternatively, they expect the populace to advance under absolutely no cause, pressure or incentive to do so.

I remember someone told a story about how Obama’s vision or socialism works, it is like domesticating the wild hog, you lay out food for the hog to come an eat. You repeat this process for many days, then one day you erect on one side a fence near the food. You repeat this process for many days and the hog will continue to come back to feed. Then you erect a second side of the fence and lay out the food for many days and the hog will continue to come and feed. Then you erect the third side of the fence and lay the food out everyday and the hog will continue to come and feed. Finally, you put a gate up and leave it open with food out and the hog will come to eat. Do this for many days, and one day you will be able to close the gate and the hog will not mind for now the hog has forgot how to forage for himself and has become truly dependent upon you for its sustanance and it will accept its cage. Anyway, I forgot who told the above story originally, I know I just butchered it.

Ok, sorry I am going off on rant on your post.

Don’t oversell the ability or desire for liberals to care about anyone other than themselves. They will be just as happy ruling a flock of unmotivated illiterates or a herd of intellectuals. As long as THEY rule.

The Soviets did their best to bring forward their vision of how it should be. They forgot what you have highlighted. People aren’t motivated by fear as nearly as much as they are by self advancement, it is human nature. “For the good of the state” wore thin quickly.

That is why free market capitalism draws people from all over the world. Humans always dream of a better life. Sadly, other humans dream of ruling their lives.

And that is the fatal flaw in their plan. They may push socialism on us, and do their level best to retard our children’s thoughts and dreams, but this is America. We aren’t old Russia with a thousand years of servitude bred into our people, or Britain which can’t exist without the strict rule of society.

This is America, a hundred years ago we were still settling the west, having fistfights in dusty streets over a simple insult, dreaming of striking it rich, willing to take a piece of land and work it until we could produce enough for our families and others.
It was the “enlightened elites” that screwed us up, along with our patient and good nature- always looking for the best in our fellow man.

But they are pushing us, hard. I’m waiting for someone to just say “enough” and the figurative (and maybe some literal) fists are going to fly.
