In the midst of all the commentary and analysis surrounding these elections, one thing really stood out to me. The traditional Democrat stronghold of the Rust Belt was smashed, turing rather red.

IL: GOP Senate, House gains and possible GOV.

MI: GOP GOV and state offices

WI: GOP Senate and GOV

OH: GOP GOV and Senate

PA: GOP GOV and Senate

Add in from earlier elections NJ GOV.

This is pretty amazing, pushing the Dem power bases to the extreme Northeast and West for the most part.
