Had heard her name vaguely discussed by Bill Kristol on FOX, not much else, and didn't have any hope of us winning. That morning when I heard her, well...everyone around here got excited. My phone started ringing off the hook, and people started talking about the election as if there was a chance. Our GOP offices had been ghostly, now people were signing up to help in anyway they could. As fast as Sarah stuff came in, it went out. people began to put McCain/Palin stickers on their cars, where no stickers had been before. It was a badly needed transfusion to a moribund candidacy. People should not doubt the impact then and the residual effect now. Sarah, gave a much needed voice and boost to the Conservatives. Some of us found the there even was a Conservative movement because of Sarah. And I believe that some/many of us have stuck around because of that awakening that started one year ago.
