When Lenin ran into heavy opposition, he temporarily halted the march towards a full Communist society and instituted the New Economic Plan. Later on, once effective opposition had been disarmed, Stalin came in and exterminated the Kulaks.

Similarly, Obama will tack temporarily if necessary, lying as necessary, until he is able to build enough structure with his bully underlings and SEIU and ACORN to intimidate Congress – and then it will be full speed ahead under him or his successor.

Marxists never stop aiming for their goal, but they are fully capable of deceit and strategic detours to lull the opposition groggy while they regroup their forces until they strike at the opportune time.

is that he dug the hole too deep. He had every intention of bleeding America to the point of passing out and then he would bring her back before the 2010 elections…..he let it bleed too much. A real recovery won’t happen until Obama is gone for a few years. Once Obama sees it won’t come back for 2010 he will have a firesale and try to bleed it on out. Once the real *hit hits the fan he can pull some executive powers BS and put down the already crippled economy. We will be treading into unknown territory here. The nutroots will still support the Waxmens and Franks but for the most part I see any democrat who votes for more Obama plans will be low hanging fruit to pick.

I think the odds of a House take-over, at least, are quite decent, looking at as things stand right now.

The Senate is a much harder road to hoe. But I think what I was implying is that if Obama tanks badly enough, even retaking the Senate (or at least making effective Dem governance of the chamber difficult-to-impossible) becomes an outside possibility.

And that would be stunning.

I agree. Clinton primary impulse was his ego. He would sell out his convictions to save his own hide and preserve his legacy.

Obama is a true believer. He’ss pivot onteh details, but he is a big picture radical. That is why he ceded the details to the Congress. He doesn’t care how it gets done. He is just determined to re-make this country into something it was never supposed to be.

Clinton was Machiavellian. Obama is a dedicated neo-Marxist.

But I dont think the Dems will lose the House or the Senate in 2010.

The difference between Obama and Clinton is that Clinton was, essentially, non-ideological (i.e. no ‘core principles’; entirely personality-driven). It’s what made Clinton such a good liar – he knew exactly what to say to stay on people’s good sides. IOW, Clinton was able to *pivot* when things initially turned against him.

I see absolutely no evidence that Obama has the same capabilities, which is what I said some months back. In short, I see no evidence that Obama has the capability to ‘pivot’ now that things have gone sour.

In fact, we’re seeing the opposite – now that things aren’t going his way, his worst personal instincts are emerging.

This leads to the possibility of an interesting scenario – if Obama is incapable of pivoting, and he keeps indulging his worst impulses as things turn more and more against him, what do you think his popularity is going to look like in 6 months to a year?!

And if Obama tanks as bad as I think he’s capable of (not to mention Pelosi & Reid!), what happens to the Dems running in 2010?!

There’s a potential scenario here where 1994 may be small potatoes compared to what happens in 2010. Stay tuned…

Dictator! Yes! I’ve said it since before the election. If Obama had everything his way we would already be Cuba.

He’s a scary guy and it’s going to be a long 3 1/2 years of fighting against him. The only thing he feels is exceptional is himself and he will continue to work diligently to destroy our great country by cutting defense spending, destroying capitalism, and putting into place policies that remove our freedoms one by one. Elections have consequences.

We must keep talking and exposing the truth about the man, support those who support conservatism and the Constitution, and spend a lot of time on our knees.
