Some ask the question, “why or should English be the official language of the United States?” The answer to that question, it already is. The reason that it is, is simple. It was Great Britain that the thirteen colonies were separating from and writing the declaration of Independence in French wouldn’t have translated as well when king George got a copy. Some might want Americans to think, it was because only Englishmen lived in the Colonies. In reality it was because an English speaking nation ruled the colonies, so immigrants to this land from other countries learned and understood the language of the rulers. So, for these reasons the Union’s first official document was written in English.

When the States wrote their constitutions, all used the English language so it was natural that the second official document of the union, The Articles of Confederation were written in the same language. Therefor it was logical that the language used to fix the weaknesses of the Articles, (the constitution) would be written in English. In all these documents one thing becomes clear in the language that they are written in, the acceptance of tyranny does not translate very well into English.
Now you know why the left does not want to force people coming to this land, to learn it’s official language!

I was watching Fox and Friends and they were discussing the debate the night before, 1/19 on CNN. Chris Wallace came on and they asked him about the first question and he thought that is was the right first question. No surprise there. Then they went on to discuss the back and forth between Santorum and Gingrich where Gingrich said he does have grandiose thoughts. Chris Wallace put on his best grin and said that when Newt said that he does have grandiose thoughts, he wonder about that and being how Newt was smarter that he, he looked up the term and found that is was not such a good thing, he then produced his best cute grin. I thought about what Chris said, (all of 5 seconds) and the 1770’s came to mind and a fellow named John Adams. He had a grandiose thought. He thought that the thirteen colonies could band together and separate themselves politically from Great Britain and make it stick. Their was a contemporary of his that had some grandiose thoughts and he wrote them down. Thomas Jefferson was the man and the Declaration of Independence is what he wrote. Now maybe “I’m so cute Wallace” might think that because that document is over a hundred years old, it has no meaning today. No matter, the fact is they were men with some GRANDIOSE THOUGHTS

Here is a scandal that the press isn’t reporting, about Iowa. Of the 8 lost precincts of Iowa, Romney lost 7 of them in 08, imagine that. The one he did win the vote broke down like this.
Emmet County’s Estherville Ward 2. Romney 6, Huckabee 5, Thompson 5, McCain 4, Paul 1
As you can see Huckabee and Thompson both only lost by 1. The next three precincts Romney didn’t even get 1 vote!

Is this the type of shenanigans that we can expect from the Republican insiders and the Romney campaign? Will it continue to go unreported by the main stream press, along with Obama’s background.

Today 12/23 Speaker Boehner and senate minority leader McConnell cave to Reid and Obama. The headlines will read McConnell undercuts Boehner or Republican loses political argument on taxes. While senate majority leader steps to the mic. and in essence tells the newly elected house tea party backed members, “This is how it’s done”. Everyone has a stake in keeping the status quo, including so called conservative TV pundits. A case in point!

In Ann Coulter’s latest column “Newt Helped Formulate Christmas” there are signs of serious head trauma. Maybe falling off a skate board or Chris Christie bowing out of the race. Any way apparently anyone who supports Gingrich is not a true old time conservative. Which she must be, because she don‘t. She has no memory of 1983 when Newt co-founded the Conservative Opportunity Society, (as a young congressman) and so it didn’t happen, also because he wasn’t mentioned in Reagan’s book. Well why would she remember, not to long out of high school, (in Connecticut, in 1980). She did lick stamps to put on envelopes that election year, and that makes her an old time conservative. After Bush lost his reelection bid because he didn’t read his own lips and raised taxes, (a move Newt strongly fought against) the new president did something unexpected according to her. Two years later he worked very hard to turn the Democrats out of, not only the house but the senate. Why anyone would think that it had something to do with Newt’s “Contract with American” is now beyond her. She also notes that Boehner as speaker is not “scary” or “unlikable” , this might be true but he can’t even bonk heads with Reid and get an extension of the pay role tax for more than 2 months. How the hell to you lose that battle? I’ve heard that excuse well we control only half of one third….bull, you control the house which is in itself 1/3.  Can you imagine Boehner against a Clinton trying to get welfare reform. Back then we only controlled one 1/2 of each of the 3rds. Maybe we need some scary. Maybe Ann Coulter like others are worried that if the “bombastic” Newt became president and turned the country around, she wouldn’t be able to sell as many “bomb throwing” books wailing against the left. Naah I still say it’s head trauma!   FINAL PROOF she said on the fox news channel she would rather see Ron Paul as president.

The speech that the speaker gave on the floor of the house just before the vote today 7/29/2011, was brilliant. Can the Democrats say yes to anything. Now the pressure should be put on the Senate. Senator Reid can only say in every appearance, that the house bill is dead on arrival. For over 800 days there has been no budget, Reid and speaker Pelosi didn’t or couldn’t pass a budget. Now Reid says no, no matter what whatever the new speaker sends up, it is dead on arrival. This asks the question ; Is Harry Reid sane? He is the constant, in the equation that stoped a budget from being passed in those 800 days.

In one of his books, Thomas Sowell writes about a people whose culture was rooted in the value of education, (language, science and math) and inventiveness. How these people were the first ones in the new world that banned slavery from their communities, (in Pennsylvania and Brazil). That these people could succumb to the insane ideas of one Adolf Hitler was well worth the study of how that happened. Which he did and the results were published. Recently an example as surfaced of the spread of this devastating mental disorder of leftism. It is the case study of a once brilliant conservative whom through constant contact with leftist as begun to think like them. I am talking about George F Will “conservative” columnist of the Washington Post Writers Group and a regular panelist on ABC’s This Week. A show that made a sharp left turn when they got rid of David Brinkley and installed Clinton hack George Stephanopoulos. It appears that he made a statement on that show during the round table, that the one overwhelming thing that would stop Sarah Palin from becoming president is that voters before pulling the lever would realize that as president she would have her finger on the nuclear button. No where did Mr. Will make that observation with regard to candidate Obama. For even thinking that, much less expressing it, would be racist, a “leftist” group think. Another manifestation of this mental disease is the limited scope of the brains ability to think. The leftist brain keeps repeating the same insanity over and over again. Thus it is no surprise that as the disease progresses in Mr. Will that he would resurrect that old argument used against another candidate, Ronald Reagan. Now remember what happened to the German people and then realize that George F Will was once a speech writer for President Reagan. Would it be to much to wonder if he began to be a regular on the “View” how his view on what constitutes rape might be altered.    My thought Art Manger

On Wednesday May 11th, Newt Gingrich announced is run for the Presidency of the United States. It was noted by many that he is probably one of the smartest people in any room that he might be in. That he is full of dozens of ideas on a multitude of subjects and that might be one of his major problems. It is akin to saying a theoretical physicist is over qualified to teach science in high school. But the thing that got me thinking about what his run it might truly mean for America was the fact that he is 68 years old.
You see I’m 61 born in 1950 on Long Island, out on the east end of that island is where I grew up. As a young person and like a lot of other young people of that time, I made ventures, (because of my freedom of enterprise) into the business world. I opened up a lemon aid stand one weekend. The start up capital for my business came from my farther and the technical product expertise from my mother. With borrowed equipment from the house, a fold up card table and chair, kitchen stuff to make the lemon aid and a clean manufacturing facility, (mom’s kitchen) to make it in, in no time at all I was outside conducting business. It was then that I decided to take on a partner, (the cute girl down the street). When our enterprise came to an end that weekend it turned out we had made a profit and had learned a little about free enterprise. Product quality, price, and customer service all worked their way into our young psyche and all because a friend of ours a couple of blocks away had the same freedom to engage in the same enterprise that weekend.
Some time ago, it’s hard to pinpoint the exact time, maybe 10, 15 years ago, their was a news report about a young person and a lemon aid stand. It’s seems that this young entrepreneur had forgotten to get all the proper forms inspections and permits or paid all the fees that the various government entities required for the weekend venture. Maybe today an environmental impact statement might be needed and soon a carbon credit purchased from Mr. Gores company. You also might have heard this news story or something similar, a cookie or bake sale without proper government oversight and permission, (permits) being shut down.
The question is where did the freedom I had, (when I had my lemon aid stand) go 30 years later when that young person wanted to do the same damn thing. How was it this freedom was taken from this young person? As anyone 20-80 years of age understands 30 years is not that long a period of time. So were we conquered by North Korea or Cuba? Was a monarchy installed and a decree made? Or did leftist politicians lay down LDA’s (liberty destroying act) over a period of a hundred years, sitting there in our federal codes just waiting for the right time to be sprung.
It’s hard for the average working American to do the research and learn this history of the left. Communist, socialist, progressive, liberal, new progressive or now “no label” they’re all the same just a change of name, they‘re leftist. Which brings me back to Newt Gingrich, as an historian he spent his life learning the history of our nation and how this assault on our freedoms was accomplished. But more than that, is I will bet some 30-35 years ago he had a lemon aid stand.      My thought   art manger
