And elementary education theorist professor in the College of Education William “Bill” Ayers believes brainwashing America’s children is the path. Bill Ayers states: “the ethics of Communism still appeal to me. I don’t like Lenin as much as the early Marx.”

According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words “religion” and “ridiculous,” implying the satirical nature of the documentary that is meant to mock the concept of religion.
