Just a supposition, but didn't Soros make large amount of money screwing around with currencies of countries whose economies he helped flush down the toilet?

From http://www.producerorparasite.com/blog/2009/02/23/george-soros-and-the-big-one/:

"He’s very well known in Southeast Asia, where he’s been accused of currency manipulation and destroying the economies of Myanmar, Malaysia and Indonesia in the late 1990s. If that doesn’t jog your memory, or perhaps you’re too young, Mr. Soros was also responsible for breaking the Bank of England in 1992, creating a $30 billion hole in the British economy back when $30 billion was still a bunch of money. And, he and his cronies pocketed $2 billion for their two months’ work. Mr. Soros has dabbled in the currencies of many countries, large and small, across the globe. Eventually, as that country’s currency faltered, Mr. Soros would short the currency, which would create a collapse, followed by runaway inflation and economic devastation. Sort of like a fairy prince who brings good things to all people."

From his perspective, the latest $5 million would probably yiels a significant ROI if he can crash the dollar.

then what is the motivation for George Soros to put $5 million into getting this monstrosity passed? Is he the super secret head of the mother of all unions or does he just hate America that much? Just wondering.

Community-organizing the poor black community in Chicago that further destroyed their faith in the community and hopes for a better future could be one.

The rest of his story ... nothing.

No, izoneguy. Leadership is a God-given talent (talent given by the Devil in case of demonic leaders).

Obama has no credential to support himself as a Leader.

He relied on others to do his own dirty works. And that's not surprising for a believer of the Collectivism like Obama.

For a long time, I've been puzzled by the actions of the democrats in Congress and the White House regarding the health care proposals. What are the motives? Sure, the pursuit of power is a strong incentive, but the power to dictate health care, in and of itself, seems a somewhat odd goal. What exactly does this power gain for the individuals promoting the idea? What does any individual Congressman or Senator want with the ability to tell someone what care they can or cannot have? I wouldn't want the job. Yes, there will be an influx of tax dollars presumptively to be used for the program, which will probably be redirected to the general fund (social security, anyone?), providing another slush fund to be raided for all kinds of pork projects. This is indeed a great motivation. If it were just this, I can see the evolution of the health care program proceeding through this raiding of its funds, ever declining, and the resulting more and more severe shortfalls, (if it would ever have been solvent), being responsible for more cutbacks that cause more rationing and greater shortage of services. But, this alone would only serve to inflame the public, not the result they are probably looking for.
So it's got to be more than this.
Consider another possibility -- that the pursuit is of the mechanism and its implementation, not necessarily the results as regards health care.
In any implementation of this kind of bureaucracy, there will be a necessary exponential growth in the personnel who administer the program, the personnel who provide the services, the personnel who process the billing, the personnel who process the payments, the personnel who monitor the program, and countless others whose livelihoods will thereafter be provided by the public sector, rather than the private sector. This means correspondingly significant growth in the membership of public employee unions, thereafter guaranteeing a default constituency for those political thugs who promise them whatever they want, to be financed with money confiscated from the private sector via ever more burdensome taxes.
In other words, it's neither the health care industry, nor the insurance industry that the democrats want, it's the employees and their votes for whomever will promise them the most goodies to be taken from the rest of us. The intrusion into our health care choices, the rationing of services, the resulting early deaths of possibly millions of older Americans are a sideshow, are nothing more than collateral damage in the democrats' quest for a permanent voter base.
That's the power play. Not the power to dictate our health care choices, but the opportunity to secure a permanent majority, and forever after gorge themselves at the public trough. This will lead to an unsustainable imbalance that finally results in requiring more money in taxes from the private sector than the sector actually makes. Once that point is reached, there will be no more private sector, nobody who actually produces, only the sector that takes. Then we will be at the point of revolution. There will be no more money to fulfill the promises from the politicians to the public-sector masses. Blood in the streets is not unimaginable in those circumstances.
Unless we stop this now, we are at risk of ruin. Go to the townhall meetings, ask the questions and demand the answers. Hold their feet to the fire and remind them that THEY WORK FOR US! We need to take our country back. If your elected representative is not supporting your views, vote them out. If they are voting on legislation they haven't read, vote them out. If they refuse to hold a meeting where you can get your issues addressed, vote them out. Democrat or Republican - doesn't matter - if they are not representing you, vote them out, and find someone who will.

I knew he was a Chicago thug from day one....

He is a black radical who wants to redress all the grievances that the white man (in his mind) has done to the black man. Well, now he is
coming up against it and he sends his radical socialists friends on the attack and acts like he has nothing to do with it....

It won't work anymore.....socialists....
