Steven Seagal Banned from Ukraine

A statement issued by the Ukrainian Security Service Friday May 5, 2017, said Seagal has been banned from entering the country for five years "on the basis of Ukrainian national security" without elaborating on the reason for the ban. If Steven Seagal has any plans to visit Ukraine any time in the next five years, he might want to put those on hold, as he has been banned from entering the country for that period of time “on the basis of Ukrainian national security.” Seagal was given Russian citizenship last year by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who he has vocally supported.

“I know him well enough to know that he is one of the greatest world leaders, if not the greatest world leader, alive today,” Seagal has said of Putin.
