Beto O’Rourke — who it would appear is trying to see just how badly he can lose the Democratic nomination — keeps telling people about their guns. Your hunting rifle — the most popular hunting rifle in the country, that is, and the type that’s rarely used in the commission of a crime — is a “weapon of war.” Furthermore, during Thursday’s debate, he suggested that he and others have previously allowed those of you who own the gun to shoot one another, but he’s decided to stop you now:

“Hell, yes — we’re going to take your AR-15…we’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore.”

So that’s you — the murderin’ type with your military madness.

Beto’s a whole different type: the kind who inherits millions, marries into a half-billion-dollar fortune, and then promises to fight against privileged wealth.

And if you don’t believe him, he’s not afraid to change a tire and prove it (here).

And if you still aren’t convinced he’s down, he can flip a burger and then say the F word (here).

As for the “weapon of war” thing, as I wrote previously, “That’s a nonsense term used to fill incendiary syllables like a similar substance invading a diaper” (For much more, please see my article here).

But is O’Rourke’s turd of a candidacy even real, or a very well-done prank?

Former NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch is erring on the side of caution, so she appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight Friday to address the El Paso native’s new T-shirts:

Speaking to guest host Brian Kilmeade, Dana called Beto’s message a threat to “forcibly steal” Americans’ “lawfully-owned and responsibly-used property.”

“I am absolutely amazed,” she said, “that a lawmaker — that someone running for the highest office in the land — would actually try to raise money off of a threat to the public.”

She’s right — it is absolutely stunning.

Furthermore, Dana asserted that, while Beto is certainly threatening the citizenry, it isn’t a threat for people to say they won’t allow him to take what is theirs:

“And I want to be really clear about this. When you tell law abiding Americans that you are going to forcibly steal their lawfully-owned and responsibly-used property, that’s a threat. And saying that, ‘No you are not, I want to be able to defend myself in return,’ that is not a threat.”

Such an issue did indeed arise on Twitter Thursday, as Texas state representative Briscoe Cain posted this:

Loesch also made reference to the infamous Wounded Knee massacre, in which hundreds of men, women, and children of the Lakota Indian tribe were killed by U.S. soldiers:

“[I ]don’t know if that’s what Democrats and Beto O’Rourke are trying to move us towards. I sincerely hope not. I hope they respect the law of the land. I hope they respect the Constitution. But I just find this talk reprehensible, and I think that the party needs to show where they are with Americans and condemn it.”

It also sheds more light, in her view, on red flag laws:

“Beto O’Rourke just tried red-flagging Americans, so I hope all of those Republicans [learn] this is where red flag laws get you.”

As for the T-shirt, people are posting their own in response:

A little Doc Holiday for ya there.

It looks as if there’s even a libertarian shirt:

Beto’s done a bang-up job making himself quickly irrelevant in the race for 2020 White House euphoria. But will his far, far Left antics benefit him in the long run? Let us all know in the Comments section. If y’all can stop shootin’ each other long enough to type.
