BELIEVE IT OR NOT, it's Over! White House Responds to Release of the Mueller Report

You’ve no doubt heard the big news: The Mueller investigation has officially become the Mueller report.

Hell has frozen over, and the non-fat-shamed lady (here) has sung: it’s over.

Or, at least, it seems like it maybe could be.

Possibly.

Lord help us all — please let it be the end.

The White House responded Friday to the report’s announcement, with Sarah Sanders explaining that the administration will defer to Attorney General Bill Barr for a review of Mueller’s wrap-up :

“The next steps are up to Attorney General Barr, and we look forward to the process taking its course. The White House has not received or been briefed on the Special Counsel’s report.”

Sarah’s tweet came just minutes after the AG indicated he’d received the document.

Is it time now for Terry Moran’s day of reckoning (here), or Hillary’s hoped-for Big Democratic Moment (here)? Answer await.

Mueller’s been on the job for 675 days, trying — essentially — to prove Trump-Russian collusion during the 2016 election. Indictments and absurd media and Democratic claims have flown around the heads of interested Americans (and those of us doomed to journal about it) like feathers at the world’s biggest pillow fight. Finally, the endeavor described multiple times by the President as a “witch hunt” can lie down on a pillow and forevermore sleep.

Nighty night.

And to all of you, stay tuned.
