'The Vagina Monologues' Canceled at University Because it Doesn't Include Women Without Vaginas

Well, it was a good run.

The Vagina Monologues have been a cringeworthy staple of Left-side feminism for years. Premiering in 1996, it’s been out and proud for over two decades, strutting its feminist plume all over the place.

Liberal writer Eve Ensler famously explained the importance of talking all about your hoo-ha:

“Women’s empowerment is deeply connected to their sexuality. … I’m obsessed with women being violated and raped, and with incest. All of these things are deeply connected to our vaginas.”

Hilariously, now Eve is a right-wing extremist — what kind of Nazi psycho would suggest that all women have vaginas??

Welcome to a new era.

Hence, The Vagina Monologues has been canceled at Eastern Michigan University — an institution of higher learning — due to its lack of “diversity and inclusion.”

Students were emailed the news by the college’s Women’s Resource Center (Do they have a Man’s Resource Center? And by men, I mean any person calling xemself a man with a front hole, be that hose-like or otherwise):

“Survey respondents opposing the production consistently indicated they were concerned that the play centers on cisgender women, that the play’s version of feminism excludes some women, including trans women, and that overall, The Vagina Monologues lacks diversity and inclusion.”

Concerned!

The decision was made after surveying students who, according to the Ann Arbor News, “consistently indicated they were concerned that the play centers on cisgender women, that the play’s version of feminism excludes some women, including trans women (here), and that overall, The Vagina Monologue lacks diversity and inclusion (here).”

It “centers” on cisgender women; and the play excludes other women, including trans women (here). So, apparently, there are just a whole buncha kinds of women, not just women women. And not just women women and trans women. But other sorts, as well. There are male women, and other kinds of women, and other kinds of women…There’re all kinds of women.

And the WRC wants to celebrate all women, as stated in the email. No discrimination:

“We feel that making this decision is in line with the WRC mission of recognizing and celebrating the diverse representations of women on campus along with the overall mission of the Department of Diversity and Community Involvement, in which the WRC is housed, of supporting and empowering minoritized students and challenging systems and structures that perpetuate inequities. We truly believe that it is important to center our minoritized students and this decision is in line with this mission driven value.”

The survey was partially informed by response to a WRC workshop entitled “Not All Women Have Vaginas.”

It’s strange to see the Left eat its own.

The outrage is among us.

As reported by AAN:

“The WRC’s email noted that ‘many of the same people’ in support of the production felt that the The Vagina Monologues should be modified or accompanied by a series of workshops that address the diversity and inclusion that it is lacking.”
