Bernie Sanders Crystallizes Democratic Defeat: White Voters Are 'Uncomfortable' Voting for Blacks

Stacey Abrams lost.

You may remember her — she’s the lady who wanted to ban the most popular hunting rifle in America for confusing reasons (for example: it’s dangerous) yet who wouldn’t answer questions of confiscation (twice, covered here and here).

Also let by the wayside on Tuesday: Florida’s Andrew Gillum. He’s the mayor of Tallahassee who was vying for the governorship.

Abrams was shootin’ for the same, in Georgia.

The two have a couple things in common: they’re Democrats, and…

brace yourself…I know this is triggering…

they’re black.

Yes. Black.

Take off your hoods and let that sink in.

We all know the reason black politicians lose when they’re Democrats: abject racism.

So confirms Bernie Sanders, who said as much to The Daily Beast in an article Thursday:

“I think you know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American. I think next time around, by the way, it will be a lot easier for them to do that.”

Say WHAT????

White voters are “uncomfortable” with a candidate being black?

He “[thinks] you know.”

We all know…right?

You know how, when you’re standing in that booth, and you know you agree with all the politician’s positions, and you’re completely onboard with them leading the way, but then you think, “Oh holy cow, wait — they’re BLACK.”

You know how you do that?

Bernie Sanders knows.

The Beast article is titled “Bernie Sanders on Andrew Gillum and Stacey Abrams: Many Whites Made ‘Uncomfortable’ Voting for Black Candidates.”

I have a better title: “A Really Stupid Idea.”

Somehow, Irish white guy Robert “Beto” O’Rourke got mentioned in the piece about racism against relegated candidates. I guess all you have to do is change your name to make it into the discussion?

“You look at Beto O’Rourke. Running in, you know, what is generally considered to be a red state. Enormous excitement. Enormous citizen participation, young people participation. Broke the bank in terms of small contributions that he got. Came within a hair of winning in Texas.”

More on racism from Bern:

“I think [Gillum is] a fantastic politician in the best sense of the word. He stuck to his guns in terms of a progressive agenda. I think he ran a great campaign. And he had to take on some of the most blatant and ugly racism that we have seen in many, many years. And yet he came within a whisker of winning.”

Why the racism talk? Why????

As pointed out by The Daily Wire’s Emily Zanotti, Obama took Florida in in both 2008 and 2012. Did Barack’s legacy turn the voters back to just lovin’ whitey?

The Left is absolutely obsessed with race (here, here, and here). And the tired preoccupation has now become the too-worn excuse at every turn. How does Bernie explain when a white person loses? What about Hillary? Oh yeah — she’s a woman. #2 obsession/excuse.

At some point, Democratic voters are going to get tired of the lame excuses for bad candidates with lackluster positions.

Until then, buckle up; there’s a sign in the distance: “Goofiness Ahead.”
