GOP leader Boehner sells out America’s Job Creators

So, you all know how the GOP proudly supports our Free Enterprise System, right? Think again, you are dead wrong.

Boehner recently was reported as saying he would support letting the tax cuts expire for those making over 250K a year. Don’t you agree that when the in waiting GOP leader of the House says he is in lockstep with Obama on taxes that there is something just a little wrong with that?

Not only does Boehner agree with Obama that our entreprenuers are the class enemy to be exterminated (aka communist style), but also it makes one wonder if the GOP is different from the Democrats on other issues as well. When will Boehner, for the sake of votes, agree that the unborn are expendable, that we should allow illegal immigration to run rampant, that the government should take over the economy.

Besides, whatever happened with the no raise taxes pledge? Apparently Boehner didn’t sign it.

So, I come before my fellow Redstaters to call Boehner’s office and demand he retract this statement. Throw down the gauntlet and force the Democrats to extend all the tax cuts, or allow all of them to expire. If they all expire, then it is clear that the Democrat Party’s wish to destroy the American Free Enterprise System is to blame.

You know, forget John Boehner! I was willing to go to bat for him.

I want Mike Pence Speaker Of The House during the 112th Congress!

I heard him speaking on this today

What I saw and heard was that if there was no other option, Boehner would vote to extend the tax cuts to those making under $250K, but his intent is to give tax cuts to all. He went on to say that the top 1% should have their tax cut extended as well. The interview and Boehner’s response were not so cut and dried as the headlines would leave us to believe.

That being said- I really don’t like Boehner and I beleive he would be “business as usual” if he were to become leader of the house.

What Boehner actually said

Freedoms Truth (Diary) Sunday, September 12th at 6:35PM EST (link)

He’s against ANY tax increase, and FOR extending ALL current rates.

“If the only option I have is to vote for some of those tax reductions, I’ll vote for it. But I’ve been making the point now for months that we need to extend all the current rates for all Americans if we want to get our economy going again, and we want to get jobs in America. … I would hope that there would be an open debate, an open process, and let’s let the Congress decide what the current tax rates should be and for who they should be. I think there’s a growing chorus on Capitol Hill to extend all of these tax rates, and I would hope that we would do it.”

Thanks for taking the time to give the full story!!

For the life of me I can’t remember the who the interviewer was this morning that kept repeating over and over again, “For the record, you are for tax cuts for those who make under $250K but would allow the tax cuts for the top 1% expire?. Or words somewhat to that effect. You knew the interviewer was looking for a soundbite.

Boehner did what he had to do

Doc Holliday (Diary) Sunday, September 12th at 8:31PM EST (link)

a Republican should support any tax cut. The Dems wanted to say we were against tax cuts for the middle class, that is what they wanted to campaign on. Boehner took their wedge issue away. He can still attack the class warfare and support extending tax cuts for ALL Americans, but he can do it without hurting a lot of people.

there was no sell out. People are populist, most people are not rich. We need the victory in November and THEN we can tell Obama extend them all or no government putz/

This is Obama trying to divide the GOP. Everybody dumping on John
Boehner is playing into Obama;s hand. Ignore this sideshow and focus on November.

Agreed

The memo went out to go after Boehner. They are clapping right now because the bait was taken here. Just consider laying off negativity against the R’s for a couple of months and concentrate on removing Pelosi.

This was discussed tonight on Batchelor show

Mostly about how a vote will or has come up to make Republicans look bad, the usual. Such as, Bill to keep tax cuts for all under $250K. Either way, a R will be made to look bad.

Doing nothing means the whole set of taxcuts expires in 4 months.

mikerazar (Diary) Monday, September 13th at 9:45AM EST (link)

Are the anti Boehnor conservatives suggesting that if a bill comes up to reinstate SOME of the taxcuts, they want it voted down?

All or nothing usually gets nothing.

We have a nation to save, people.
