GOP leader Boehner sells out America’s Job Creators

So, you all know how the GOP proudly supports our Free Enterprise System, right? Think again, you are dead wrong.

Boehner recently was reported as saying he would support letting the tax cuts expire for those making over 250K a year. Don’t you agree that when the in waiting GOP leader of the House says he is in lockstep with Obama on taxes that there is something just a little wrong with that?

Not only does Boehner agree with Obama that our entreprenuers are the class enemy to be exterminated (aka communist style), but also it makes one wonder if the GOP is different from the Democrats on other issues as well. When will Boehner, for the sake of votes, agree that the unborn are expendable, that we should allow illegal immigration to run rampant, that the government should take over the economy.

Besides, whatever happened with the no raise taxes pledge? Apparently Boehner didn’t sign it.

So, I come before my fellow Redstaters to call Boehner’s office and demand he retract this statement. Throw down the gauntlet and force the Democrats to extend all the tax cuts, or allow all of them to expire. If they all expire, then it is clear that the Democrat Party’s wish to destroy the American Free Enterprise System is to blame.

Death Tax Back in 2011; GOP needs to vote for 2009 Death Tax provisions

The House voted to extend the 2009 death tax provisions, but the Senate has yet to do so. This was because the GOP wanted to get more. Now, we are faced with the Death Tax back at its 2001 levels, which is far worse. A campaign needs to begin immediately to get the GOP in the Senate to vote for the 2009 extension that the House passed. If the Death Tax reverts back to its 2001 rules, it will be much worse. The Democrats will have the revenue they want, and will have no reason to support anything more but tax increases beyond what the eye can see. By extending the 2009 rules, some tax relief will be granted, and the position of repeal will seem like less of a dramatic change.

Instead, by not acting, the Republicans in the Senate have given a huge political gift to the Democrats. The Democrats get the taxes from those work that they so desperately wanted, while people who work will rightly be outraged that the GOP screwed them over by not understanding what was going down.

Now is the time to contact Republican members of the Senate to support the House bill for extending the 2009 rules. They failed us in 2005 when they did not repeal the Death Tax. They damn well better not fail us again by allowing the rules to revert back to 2001 rules. If they do, then it would seem that Democrats are doing better by business owners and farmers than are the Republicans, which would truely be a sorry sight.

Filibuster gone if GOP doesn’t get to 51 in the Senate

I am aware that 2010 is a year for the GOP and the Conservative Movement to get back seats and repudiate Obama’s radical and immoral agenda. There are many competitive races in the senate and in the house, which could force the GOP and the the Conservative Movement to split their energy and resources.

For the 2010 election cycle, I have a different and more radical proposition; focus only on the Senate. The House is irrelevant, basically. What is more likely, getting back over 40 seats in the House, or getting back 10 seats in the Senate? My odds are on the 10 in the Senate. That said, we need to focus all our energy on getting back the majority in the senate. That will be the only way to keep the filibuster (50 means VP Biden breaks the tie and eliminates the filibuster).

Now I keep getting comments about how the Democrats are out of touch, etc. Lets get something straight now; The American people don’t F’ing know anything about how the senate or house works. The media tells them nothing (when it does, it always helps the Democrats and the Left). If the filibuster is lost, no one will know, and the Democrats will lose nothing, just like the GOP loses nothing by filibustering everything now. So, spare me about the Democrats facing public anger; thats total BS, and everyone knows it. The only way to save the country is through activists, money, and recruiting as strong candidates as possible.

That said, the choice has to be made; either retake the House, or the Senate, and keep things that way, defensively. If efforts are defocused, on both the Senate and House, the GOP loses. The Conservative Movement loses. America is finished. This not an amusing game that is dispassionate. The Right can either be preserved for several more generations, or crushed, like from 1929 through 1980. And thats not hyperbole, just the facts.

So folks, its time to pick the poison, and see it through to the end, no matter what. Because 2010 is the last chance to save this country, and it can’t be left to chance, fate, or circumstance.

30 Democratic Votes for Reconciliation on HRC; at least 10 Democrats need to be against

I was just reading the ultra-leftwing blog OpenLeft, and apparently 30 Democratic Senators are for Reconciliation, which allows just 51 votes to pass HRC. Since VP Biden can cast the tie breaking vote, that means that 10 Democrats need to be brought on to the GOP side. I don’t know how this can be done. Perhaps Nelson or Lincoln can be persuaded, as well as a few other Democrats who are vulnerable in the general election of 2010. I don’t know. But unless the GOP and Conservatives move quickly, than the dreaded HRC will come back from the dead, like a zombie.

Its worse than that, though. 17 Democrats are for the public option, socialized medicine. Republicans need to find out who they are, and blitz them during the midterm. HRC needs to be defeated. The only way that can happen is if 10 Democrats are brought our way. They have to be, somehow, or we are in serious trouble.

Dick Durbin on board for eliminating minority rights

I just finished reading another uber leftwing post at OpenLeft, and now it appears Dick Durbin, who may be the Democratic leader in the senate after the 2010 elections, is for eliminating the filibuster. More to the point, Democrats believe that they only need 51 votes (meaning 50 in the Senate, counting VP Biden’s vote). Current forecasts are that the GOP may have 47 seats in the Senate after the 2010 elections.

So, the GOP needs to find at least 4 (if not more) members of the Democratic party in the senate who agree with keeping the filibuster, and somehow work with them. I know working with the Democrats is a large concession, but we need to keep some votes in favor of the filibuster, or then the Democrats will be able to do whatever they want, which would be really terrible.

If there is a way procedurally to make it 67 votes, then the GOP has to make that so, somehow. Besides that, we all need to work to preserve the filibuster. This is the most important thing right now.

White House, Democratic Leadership going to end filibuster

I just read OpenLeft, and now it is certain that the White House and Democratic Leadership are going to try to end the filibuster. The Senate GOP now needs to be prepared to preserve the filibuster no matter what. The GOP needs to prepare a PR offensive in order to counter the Democrats, and all conservatives are going to need to consider the support for eliminating the filibuster an act of war.

I don’t know how the GOP should carry out its defense, but it is clear now that it has to fight, or else there will be no minority rights in this country. Now is the time to stand up for the filibuster, to ensure that the country is protected from majority tyranny, whatever the cost.

Axlerod says White House supports eliminating Senate minority rights

I just finished reading the ultra leftwing blog OpenLeft, and one of its kingpins, Chris Bowers, said that he had gotten off a call with Axelrod, who said the White House supported eliminating the filibuster, and destroying the rights of the minority party in the Senate. It has long been clear that Obama’s rhetoric about decency in Washington was a bunch of BS, but this statement was a blatant as it gets.

It may very well be true that it takes 67 votes to change Senate procedures. However, now the White House is going to begin a propaganda drive, aimed at decieving the American people into believing that the filibuster is a bad thing, instead of the only thing preserving the Republic. Although the GOP currently has enough votes to protect the filibuster, it is still not an assured thing. The White House is going to engage in a massive PR blitz, to get people to vote against the GOP for “Obstructionism”, or what normal people call preserving democracy.

I hope that people keep it on their minds that the Senate’s ability to protect us is now constantly under threat by the Democrats attempts to usurp the power of the American people. As long as we are vigilant of the dasterdly games the Democrats are playing, we should prevail.

Harkin & Lieberman to eliminate filibuster

Harkin has just announced that he is going to introduce a bill in the Senate between now and Feb. 13 (I believe) to eliminate the filibuster. He is making inaccurate statements about it, saying that oh, after every few days the number of senators needed is reduced, so it allows delaying action. Message to Harkin: the filibuster exists not to delay action, but to deter it, because our senators are the last line of protectors from the government’s tyranny.

However, there is some good news. Apparently 67 votes are needed to change senate rules. So, its imperative that all 40 Republican Senators (until Scott Brown is seated, we’ll see how long the Democrats obstruct the will of the good people of Massachusetts) be prepared to show up to every senate meeting, be there whenever it is in use, so that whenever Harkin pushes his perverse legislation, it is met with a resounding no, and gets killed.

Our Republican Senators are going to need to filibuster to save the filibuster. But hey, we never expected the Democrats to care about democratic ideals anyway. So, if people can pitch in, email and call our senators and tell them to be ready for Harkin to present this abomination of a piece of legislation, then things should run along fine, for now.

KEEP THE SENATE FILIBUSTER!!!!!!

One of the hard core leftwing bloggers and a Democrat kingpin, Chris Bowers, just posted on the quasi socialist website OpenLeft about voting in the Senate to eliminate the filibuster. Currently, the Democrats need all 60 senators to vote to pass legislation. Without the filibuster, they would need only a bare majority (not even 51, since VP Biden could break a tie). This would be unfathomably detrimental to America’s interests and future, as well as to the Conservative cause. With the filibuster, the country can be protected from the more extreme and insanely leftist projects of the Democrat Party; without it, the United States of America will in a very short time become the United Socialist States of America. This can’t be allowed to happen.

We need to start a campaign to ensure that all Republicans and at least a few less insane Democrats (Lincoln of AK, Nelson of NB, etc.) are prepared to filibuster any change in senate rules to end the use of the filibuster. This campaign needs to start soon, asap!!, since the senate will be back in session soon, in a week or so. I hope you all get involved. This is more important than anything else, including the Republicans making any gains in the senate and house! So please read this post, maul it over, and take action. America, quite literally, can’t afford our inaction on this issue.

Oppose Second Stimulus

I regularly check on the leftwing blogs to see what they are attempting to cook up against us. I just read OpenLeft, a hardcore leftwing site (perhaps the most far left), and they are now going to be pushing for the use of 100-200 billion dollars from the TARP funds for jobs creation, a second stimulus. RedState and the rest of the conservative blogosphere has to get ready to fight and prevent a second stimulus from being passed.

We all agree that the first stimulus bill was a failure, a squandering of taxpayer money so that the Dems could make payoffs to their base, like the corrupt machine politicians of old. Now, they want to do it again, and they need to be stopped.

         There are several reasons why this second stimulus needs to be fought and prevented if possible;

         1) Principle. The Congress gave the TARP money, squandering taxpayer funds without giving the people any reason to believe that it would be money well spent. Fighting a second stimulus bill would be a way to show that at least some people (conservatives) stand on principle, and that we cannot tolerate continued government waste.

         2) Political Opportunity. Using TARP funds for job creation is a desperate gambit the Dems will use to try to minimize their losses in 2010 and 2012. It may also boost Obama’s ratings. If the second bill does not pass, then unemployment will not be alleviated by as much as otherwise, and more importantly the American people will feel increasingly estranged from the Democrat Party.

So, conservative opposition to a second stimulus bill needs to be created, and quickly. If it can be defeated, not only will taxpayer money be saved, but the Dems fortunes will fall even more. Standing on principle and gaining a political edge, what more could one want?
